Ventura Country Club
About
The golf course at the Ventura Country Club, situated east of Orlando near many major highways and the airport, is semi-private but the facility welcomes outside play. It is a short course that features undulating greens with sudden breaks. The golf course has challenging par-3 holes that put a premium on shot accuracy. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout as well as water hazards on 14 holes. Most of the well-manicured fairways are lined with homes. The par-5, 13th hole is Ventura Country Club's signature hole. It requires a shot from an elevated tee over water and past thick forestry on the left and an approach shot to small, well protected green that slopes back to front.

Golfer Reviews
even better than before
I like Ventura...played it at least once a month before the renovation and look forward to playing regularly again. The some of the new greens are slightly repositioned and have varying slopes and ridges that make for some tough putting lines...the heavy equipment that was needed for the remodel tore up the cart paths quite a bit in several areas but once that is repaved should be fine. There were a lot of walkers on the course and the people I played with were awful but still got around in about 3 1/2 hours which was not too bad.
Great Course - Management Sucks
They have been under a renovation. Added yards, new greens, and changed layout a bit. Been waiting for months now to play. On website, they claimed reopen was Nov 1. Have tried to get a tee time multiple times but they keep pushing the reopen date back for a soft launch for only residents. Every time I’ve called to ask, they are assh0les about it. I loved the course and conditions for a great price, but management sucks now.
Ventura CC
Had an evening flight from Orlando so this was the perfect location to get a round in before we flew home. There was a huge thunderstorm the night before and the course was very wet in places but not too bad overall. I’m a 15 handicap and played off the back tees but still found the course a bit short even so. Lots of par 3’s and short par 4’s but definitely would play again.

Everything was great. A good day of golf. Everyone was very pleasant. Fun to play
The greens need some work
Generally speaking I like this course I probably play it 10 times or more a year but it must be the number of people playing right now or some other reason but they’re not maintaining the greens well….on almost all of them there is a weed that makes for fuzzy spots that is very difficult to gauge your speed or line of your putts …in my theory if you can’t putt successfully why did you bother getting to the green so I would give it a while for you go out there again
Ventura
Great course. Near downtown and the airport. Lots of carry and plays tough in the wind. Greens are going to be replaced according to some of the members.
Good working mans course
The course is in good condition. There are some soft wet spots around the sprinkler heads, but nothing that hinders your play. The staff was all very friendly and the beverage cart has a nice selection for a reasonable price. The pace of play on a Sunday 1 pm tee time ended up being just under a 4 hour round. I look forward to going back next weekend.
