Augustine Golf Club
About
Carved from Stafford County's rolling, emerald green hills, Augustine Golf Club plays across a scenic landscape abundant with mature pines and hardwoods. The pristine white bunkers and the lush fairways contrast nicely with the trees. The course conveniently sits just 30 miles from the Washington Beltway. In 2011 when the golf course was acquired by Raspberry Golf Management, who are responsible for several courses in the area, Augustine underwent major renovations that increased its playability. The greens, fairways, rough, bunkers, and tee boxes were all redone. The layout offers a challenge but is gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence. Included in a round of golf at Augustine are range balls and unlimited use of the driving range, which has different targets and a large putting green.

Just average
Augustine golf course was average. They went though construction a few years ago and they still have not recovered. It's getting better but it needs more time. Parts of the course wasn't completely covered with grass and you can see dirt. The customer service is excellent.
Friendly staff excellent value
Can use a little work around the greens but overall a excellent value.
I enjoyed the course.
This was my first time scheduling thru GolfNow and my first time at Augustine Golf Club in Stafford, VA. Took my "semi-pro" son-in-law and he liked the course also. Will definitely go back.
Beautiful
Outstanding visually. Just beautiful. Elevation changes, creeks, ponds, and tree-lined fairways kept us on our toes. We really had to think on many holes! A few tees were a bit rough, but the course was in very good shape overall. Fairways were smooth and rough was more than fair. White sand bunkers added to the looks, and felt right underfoot. Green speed was consistent throughout the day. It took us a few holes to play to the firmness. Beverage service was cart side and perfect. We will definitely go back!
In near perfect condition
Great round. Wish the pace of play was a little faster but the course and staff were great.
Great Course
This is the nicest course in the Stafford VA area that I have played. Staff is overly friendly and facilities are immaculate. Driving range balls are provided by starter before start of round at no fee. Course was well kept. Few brown spots and the sand wasn't well maintained, but greens were good and had a fair roll. Course is hilly up and down, but not much side to side where a player would continuously have to play a ball above or below the feet. Course is just right with a mixture of distances between holes and is not overly difficult. Perfect course for an intermediate player. Highly recommend this course if you have the chance to play.
Nice Course Layout
From what my golf partner said, this was a top notch course years ago. With that said, the layout is very nice and it has a lot of potential. My issue is that the course needs some TLC to bring the fairways and greens back to how it was years ago. Maybe hire a new grounds keeper??? Fertilize?
Slow Slow Slow
Very friendly staff, however the past 4 out of 5 times playing, we left without finishing our round. We weren't the only group to do so. Way to slow...
Never Again
Poor conditions. Would NOT recommend this facility until a major improvement is made.I have played this course on many occasions and have never been disappointed it used to be one of the premier courses in our area.unfortunately now it's at the bottom of the barrel.
Excellent Greens
Greens were in phenomenal shape! Fairways are starting to come along with the warm weather. Will definitely play again soon and recommend this to others. Great value for the outstanding greens.
Hackman
Very nice. Some turf issues around greens. A few more weeks and Bermuda fairways will fill in more fully.
Rough condition...
So, this appears to have a nice layout and design... Only problem was the fairways were completely browned, soaked, messy. The rest of area golf course were green but not this one. Looks like they're doing a great rehab on the course but they should warn folks on the rough conditions until everything grows in...would like to play again but only after all the ills are rectified.
I play her regularly. They have Bermuda grass which is dormant in the winter/spring. It has also been a wet spring, and Bermuda does not take up water when dormant. The course has come a long way since new owners took over. It is worth a trip.
Great course
We played at the beginning of spring and a few days after a lot of rain so I was pleasantly surprised buy the course conditions. The fairways were dead, but it is what I expected. The greens were great. Playing from the blues, the course was plenty challenging. The staff was also very friendly.
Finally coming back...really.
Raspberry Golf is cleaning this place up... Will soon be better than ever!
Looking great already on the firs Day of Spring
Just one day after the first day of Spring, course looked great. Expect the course to be stellar during the summer golf season.
Yes Yes Yes !
Tee times were pushed back for frost delay. Free coffee and range balls .. Once we started, pace of play was good and course was in good shape after days of rain and frost. I'm sure this place greens up nicely in the spring in better weather.
No short cuts to get there 95 traffic is a bear. Overall well worth the traffic we'll definitely be back.
Thadcree
Very nice course, will be back when the weather gets better.
Great layout and variation between holes - greens are always in immaculate condition
Best part of this course is the fact that you can always count on the greens to be in great condition. I like the layout and length of Laurel Hill just as much, but for the money, the greens are not as smooth or as consistently paced/able to be judged as Augustine is. Really nice to know I can rely on that each time I play.
We had an 8 am tee time, which was pushed back to 8:30 for a frost delay, then back again to 9. A little inconvenient, but not much you can do about that - they opened the range up a half hour before the first tee time (ours) and opened up the kitchen for folks to grab a bite and free coffee.
It's as short course if you play from the middle tees, more of a controlled 3-wood and short iron in type of course unless you're a big hitter. As an 10-handicap with a 275 yard driver, I only pulled by driver once or twice I think the whole time...which made it interesting, much more of a strategic game than a power game.
Had a great time, would definitely recommend the course to anyone looking for a good deal (hot deals and/or the standard discount deals here on GolfNow more than make the fee worth it.
Very good
Excellent
We are very exhaustet. And we come once mohre
What a fun day
Played this course on the way home from Myrtle Beach. It's right off 95
I have played this course several times. It was in great shape, played in a little over 3 hrs as a twosome. The sand in the bunkers was firm but very easy to get out of. Greens were true and rolled true. Had a great day at a very reasonable price. We will be stopping here again.

The greens surrounds are being converted to Bermuda grass. Previously they were rye grass and had a lot of weed issues. It was started last season with some sodding. This spring; killing the weeds, fertilizing the Bermuda, and warm weather should bring the green surrounds up to par with the greens in a few more weeks. When the conversion is finished, they should remain in good condition and weed free.
