Founders Club of Pawleys Island

Played today for first time, with my two sons. Check in was effortless and staff was friendly. Bag check fellas were great and explained course well. Loved natural areas, especially the option to drive thru them and around the greens on both sides. Course layout was fun and challenging for average golfer. As usual, for lower priced courses in Grand Strand area, the details were lacking. I dont understand why these lower priced courses can't weedeat, etc. The fairways, rough, tee boxes and greens were fine, but the superintendent should drive around the course and look for details. Weedeat around the bushes, markers, trees, etc. Clean up the parking lot, which is your front porch (first impression) especially for new players to your course. I do not like it when courses double tee in the am, and this was the case today. Made our front nine very slow. Back was much quicker, but I get why they do it. Overall, nice day. Just some constructive feedback for yall, hoping the course continues to thrive.

Only played the front nine but most tee shots make you actually have to think about tee shots and club usage. Tight fairways, greens roll pretty slow but very few of any patches at all. Course was in good condition would recommend.

Wonderful staff and great course in really good shape

My buddy and I played this course for the first time. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The coarse was in good condition. It was different then we had played before but really enjoyed the layout. We would definitely play again if we were in the area.

Good layout - challenging, at 7,000 yds. Greens avg speed and consistent. Tees, fairways and around greens in good shape. Bunkers poorly maintained. Driving mats and net for warmup and nice, large putting green next to tee.

The staff was great! The course was pretty good. It has a lot of areas that are just sand and dirt, which isn’t a problem but just seems unusual. You also have to cross roads which aren’t just neighborhood roads, but country roads where people drive pretty fast.

What a fantastic find and my first time playing this course. The course was in fantastic shape and the greens were super fast but fair. The staff was friendly very accommodating and overall what a positive experience my first time playing here. Will definitely be back and look forward to the next round.

We had a great day at this course. Pace of play was best I have seen for this area. Finished 18 under 3 1/2 hours. Course was in great shape from the tee boxes to the greens. Staff was amazing and overall very professional. Only downfall is no driving range to warm up.

I played this course last year and was excited to play there again. I didn’t think the course was in good shape.

The only reasons for the lower course conditions is mainly because of the cart paths made out of sand, extremely dusty during dry spells, on a couple of holes we weren't sure on the way to go because of lack of definition

Far to go for a very slow pace of play and poor conditions. Interesting layout.

We played there on a monday around 1 am. The layout is very different to other courses in the area. The elevated fairways, many bunkers and the waste areas offer great views from the tee boxes. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in good shape. It could be really a highlight course, if the staff would take more care about details on the course. Pace of play was okay, as we were a twosome behind foursomes. The club house is very nice, too. So definitely worth playing there.

No big deal overcharge me in the pro shop charge me $147 when I looked at my email confirming I owe 140 do it course

down here during spring break’ mixed up my tee time, and was later leaving for the course, traffic sucked,, called the course . They couldn’t have been nicer. “will get you out when you get here”. They did , great day, conditions were good and probably getting better . It’s on my play list

Good course, good condition, pace of play was good.

Tough course with a great layout, elevated fairways with waste area all around. Elevated greens with shaved fringes, great undulation on the greens. Would play again from a different tee box.
