This short hole requires precise landing (lots of loft!), with the green having cliffs on 3 sides! Photo submitted by joelhulen on 05/31/2014

View of the 12th green with Downtown LA in the background! Photo submitted by u000001803169 on 07/15/2013
awesome course
Always a pleasure playing at scholl canyon, greens are always well maintained and the price to play is Un beatable for such a great course.
Nice course with some great views of LA
I have played SC several times and have generally enjoyed it. The pace of play can be somewhat slow for a short course depending on the time of day. On this occasion my friend and I teed off at 7am and we were done in about 3.5 hours. The back 9 is by far the harder portion but offers great views of downtown LA and the Glendale/Burbank area. Promotional green fees make this a good value for the dollar spent.
good to practice your golf skills
All pretty good condition.
Many short holes but still you can chek your
swing and management.
Scholl Golf
The view is perfect most of the time. The staff is very respectful. The course is well thought out for a 4 par. It's always a pleasure playing at Scholl.
Fun course for practice.
This course is a Par 60 executive course but was pretty fun.most of the hole's are an average of 100 yards give or take about 20 and even have a hole that played 50 yards to the front of the green. The fairways we're in pretty bad shape but at least the greens we're decent. The back 9 is much funner. It's a lot more challenging than the front. The back 9 has some beautiful views ,hole number 15 especially you can see as far as the ocean with the silhouette of DTLA.
Good Exec Course
Scholl Canyon is a good executive course that can get ridiculously crowded on weekends. They have great midweek midafternoon specials that make it worthwhile, however. The greens are in indifferent shape. Some are quite challenging because of the slope. The back nine is a lot more fun, especially once you get up in the mountainous area on #12, with nice views and a couple of very challenging layouts.
great course ,
This course is challenging for a par 60.my partner and I had a great time.
A very challenging executive course. The winter grass has set very well on the greens, which are rolling very nicely for a course with so much traffic
Scholl Canyon is a very entertaining executive track. On a clear day, the views from the course are unparalleled in the Los Angeles area. Like many courses that have been overseeded, late fall/early winter is the best time to play as the greens are in the best shape of the year. I have played this course twice this November, and the greens were in excellent condition, even with the numerous pitch marks that you'll find unrepaired on pretty much every green. Several greens have recently been rebuilt to address sinkage issues and to fix severe sloping, and these rebuilds have signficantly improved the playability. Bring a couple extra balls in case you drop an errand shot (or three) into on the canyons lining the course, particularly on the back nine.
This course is very challenging and yet very enjoyable for friends to play golf.
This is my first time playing here but it was a very good experience and a very enjoyable one too! I will recommend this to all my friends who has not been here yet!
Great value
Scholl has great views and offers 3,000 yards of Golf. With 6 par 4's there is a chance for drives. I'll be here every week golfing at great value.
Afternoon at Scholl
Had a great time at Scholl. Though it is a small course it still requires accuracy, skill and the lots of strategy. I enjoyed the challenge and was able to finish 18 holes in just over 3 hours. The course was maintained but the only drawback was that the people that played this course did not really do their part to maintain the course. Broken tees every hole, divits everywhere and lots of holes in the greens.
Could have been better..
Overall it could be a great little course..No advisory that course was being worked on..
This course is good for a couple with different skill level.
The course fits both to my wife who is a novice and myself to polish up my short approaches. For beginners, some holes are extremely challenging as accurate placement and high shots are required. Tha cart is the MUST in latter 9 holes.
Short course, difficult greens, dont walk the back 9
Short course, difficult greens, dont walk the back 9
Had a good time nice!!!
The course was in nice shape enjoyed the play will return again.
Cheap Fun
Short part 3 course with a couple of par 4's mixed in. Great place to practice short game. Perfect? No. But get a great rate like I did and get out there. Well worth the money. Beautiful views of Los Aneles on the back nine.
Awesome views and fun challenges at this course.
I have heard about this course for years and just decided to check it out. So glad that I did! This course is so pretty and it is well maintained by the course management; the players are another story. I wish that the players had more respect for this lovely, low-cost facility and would repair tee box and fairway divots and especially the marks on the greens. My husband and I fixed two a piece on each green and did not make a dent in the problem. The play was fast enough considering that many of us out there yesterday were higher handicap holders and there were several 5somes out there. The front nine was fun and challenging with short distances, sand traps aplenty and fast, slopping green full of ball marks (again, golfers! clean up after yourselves). Then came the back nine with plenty of opportunities to hit the ball way out of bounds, the need to reach the green or risk a ball dumped into a ravine and the chance to pitch to a green that was akin to the bottom of a bowl. Lots of challenges, lots of fun! The sun was shining bright and cool breezes kept us from getting too hot. Bunnies lined the back nine fairways. It was a great time. Cannot wait to return.
Greens and T Boxes Looking Tired
Executive short course. Some fun and challenging holes on the back 9. Sand traps/bunkers are nice. The greens and T boxes need attention - Greens had divots - did not roll well... Though probably the norm for a municipal course that sees a lot of players. Course is maintained. Incredible views.
Great little short course with great views!!!
A returning customer & happy to be. This course is a fun and challenging short course with beautiful scenery. Back nine is quite fun & looking forward to making it out again to challenge my short game.
Must play it at least once & great deals through www.GolfNow,com
Fun Course!
Scholl is a fun and well maintained course. It can get a little warm on top of that hill but it's a short course and speed of play is good.
