A worthy short executive course with great views of downtown LA

I just played Scholl for the first time, and overall I enjoyed the course- but I did know that it was a short course with traffic. It took almost 4 hours to play this 3k yard course which was a bit painful but I wasn't in a rush. Lots of par 3s, many under 100 yards, so good for working your wedge game. I found the greens slippery and uneven so had a hard time 2 putting on several holes. One of my favorite things was the great views of LA and downtown. Very picturesque. Overall I would come back on a leisurely day when I want to work on the short game and not pull driver.

Never come here

I can honestly say that I would never go back to the course. Not only are the conditions beyond horrible, but some of the greens are ridiculous. The way they are sloped, hole number one for instance, feels as if you are putting at a miniature golf course. The only good thing this place has going for itself are the views. All in all, I would never go back. Every tee box is on a sloped piece of dirt with patches of grass. Every fairway is completely dormant. Every lie you play is simply unacceptable. On top of all that, you have to wait at each and every tee box. I would not even consider this course a practice round, playing here would only help you improve bad habits for your game. I'd much rather play De Bell, Brookside, or ANY other 18 hole course nearby. This course would not be worth it, even if it were priced at $10 a round on a Saturday morning at 8am.

Love this place

This is a great place to work on your short game. The greens can be rough at times but this is mainly from other golfers not fixing there divots. For the $ it is a great course.

Great Course, Very Tricky Greens!

This is a beautiful course to play, great views and very well maintained course. The staff was super friendly (good specials as well) and received great rates on Golf Now. One important thing to note is that the greens at this course are super tricky, they are maintained well, although they have ridiculous slopes that you have to be cautious about. The pace of play was average as we had a foursome in front that was taking their time, not a big deal though. The views at this course were phenomenal and I can't wait to play here again!

Good location on top of a mountain.

The greens were in bad condition, very slow and inconsistent.

VERY UNIQUE GOLFING EXPERIENCE

I have played golf for 40+ years, and have played all over California. This is a very interesting golf course lay-out. Some of the greens (#1, #10), are very difficult to putt, I seem to leave with a few 3 putts, and on occasion have 4 putted, and have walked off the green scratching my head !!! This course has very high "risk/reward" conditions on a few holes. Can't beat the price if you look online, you can score. The novelty of the course alone will always bring me back..

good for beginners and short hitters

As a fairly new golfer, I enjoy playing here because its not as long as the par 72 courses out there, and its never very crowed. Not easy to play the back nine, but fun as it is high on the mountain. Nice people and nice design and easy to get to. If I wanted to take up the game, and didn't want to hold anyone up for fear of my slow play, this is the one I would go to......good price too.
