This short hole requires precise landing (lots of loft!), with the green having cliffs on 3 sides! Photo submitted by joelhulen on 05/31/2014

Breathe Taking Mountain top views
Excellent course, well maintained, good balance of play difficulty hole to hole, great value!
Lots of sand and bunny rabbits
The title says it all. Good little executive course. Most par 3's are similar on the front 9 but the back nine is cool way up on the hill.
Beautiful executive course that offers some unique challenges
I played alone @ 5:30am on a Friday, so I pretty much had the course to myself. That said, I finished all 18 in about 1.5 hours!
The course was in good shape, and the greens were in great condition. There's lots of wildlife out there, too. A hummingbird flew up to me in my cart and hovered around for a while. There are lots of brown rabbits throughout, and a whole flock of green parrots.
The back 9 offers the best views on the course and also contains more elevation changes. There is one hole where the fairway narrows quite a bit and bends around a cliff, providing for a challenge to those who tend to slice their drives. A par 3 hole has the green surrounded on 3 sides by cliffs, and provides an area where you have to precisely hit the ball within about a 20 yard landing area. I thought it was great fun and luckily landed on the green.
Overall, this was a great course for a quick morning play through. I will definitely be back!

Great view of the Valley
Excellent executive course. I love walking this golf course, especially the challenging terrain of the back 9.
Good executive course. Surprisingly nice views.
I play Scholl pretty often. As long as the pace is decent, you can finish this course in 3 hours, which is nice if you don't have a full day to play golf. It's not a scenic course by any stretch, but the views of the city on the back nine are some of the best you can find.
Definitely a few challenging holes, but overall this is an easygoing course. Most of the par 4's are shorter, with risk/reward tee shots. The par 3's are a mixed bag. A lot of wedges off the tee. Bring your friends, drink a few beers, have fun!
Slow Slow Slow
An hour late to T off, and 5+ hours for 15 holes, we finally gave up as the back up at 16 was 8 carts.
Nice Course, spread out the T times and maybe it would be a lot nicer.
golf course
I love this course and greens because it truly makes you work on your game
Hilltop View
I've slowly been getting into golf again over he last year and have reached the point that par 3 courses are often to boring to maintain my interest anymore. And what I found is that Scholl Canyon is the perfect next step.
While it is mostly par 3s it has enough interesting terrain and scattered par 4s to keep me entertained but without making a fool of myself.
The price is amazing to play 18 holes with a cart on a well maintained course (except for many of the front 9 sand traps). Beautiful views of the hills and LA. There is a landfill next door that isn't quite as pretty but it looks to be almost done so might not be an eyesore for much longer. And it doesn't smell so no real complaints there.
The only downside I had was pace of play. I had a group of two dads with their two sons who started late then proceeded to hit every stroke rather than realizing they should probably move on to the next hole to keep up pace of play. Added probably an extra 45 minutes to the round most of which was sitting at the tee box waiting as the sun slowly dipped below the horizon. So ended up playing the last two holes in darkness essentially.
great scenery.
Mountain top of the city of Glendale, every course invite you to the great expreience of prestige golf course. It is ideal place to work on your Iron shots and precisions... I love to go there...!!!
Decent Executive Course, But Always Run Way Behind
Only complaint - tee time was for 12:59. Actually teed off at 1:40. This is pretty typical here.
awesome course
Always a pleasure playing at scholl canyon, greens are always well maintained and the price to play is Un beatable for such a great course.
Nice course with some great views of LA
I have played SC several times and have generally enjoyed it. The pace of play can be somewhat slow for a short course depending on the time of day. On this occasion my friend and I teed off at 7am and we were done in about 3.5 hours. The back 9 is by far the harder portion but offers great views of downtown LA and the Glendale/Burbank area. Promotional green fees make this a good value for the dollar spent.
good to practice your golf skills
All pretty good condition.
Many short holes but still you can chek your
swing and management.
Scholl Golf
The view is perfect most of the time. The staff is very respectful. The course is well thought out for a 4 par. It's always a pleasure playing at Scholl.
Fun course for practice.
This course is a Par 60 executive course but was pretty fun.most of the hole's are an average of 100 yards give or take about 20 and even have a hole that played 50 yards to the front of the green. The fairways we're in pretty bad shape but at least the greens we're decent. The back 9 is much funner. It's a lot more challenging than the front. The back 9 has some beautiful views ,hole number 15 especially you can see as far as the ocean with the silhouette of DTLA.
Good Exec Course
Scholl Canyon is a good executive course that can get ridiculously crowded on weekends. They have great midweek midafternoon specials that make it worthwhile, however. The greens are in indifferent shape. Some are quite challenging because of the slope. The back nine is a lot more fun, especially once you get up in the mountainous area on #12, with nice views and a couple of very challenging layouts.
great course ,
This course is challenging for a par 60.my partner and I had a great time.
A very challenging executive course. The winter grass has set very well on the greens, which are rolling very nicely for a course with so much traffic
Scholl Canyon is a very entertaining executive track. On a clear day, the views from the course are unparalleled in the Los Angeles area. Like many courses that have been overseeded, late fall/early winter is the best time to play as the greens are in the best shape of the year. I have played this course twice this November, and the greens were in excellent condition, even with the numerous pitch marks that you'll find unrepaired on pretty much every green. Several greens have recently been rebuilt to address sinkage issues and to fix severe sloping, and these rebuilds have signficantly improved the playability. Bring a couple extra balls in case you drop an errand shot (or three) into on the canyons lining the course, particularly on the back nine.
This course is very challenging and yet very enjoyable for friends to play golf.
This is my first time playing here but it was a very good experience and a very enjoyable one too! I will recommend this to all my friends who has not been here yet!
Great value
Scholl has great views and offers 3,000 yards of Golf. With 6 par 4's there is a chance for drives. I'll be here every week golfing at great value.
