Good value
I had a 3p tee time, I arrived 15mins later and was able to tee off. The pace of play was a little slow due to two groups jerking off and taking their time. The condition of fairway was awful, the water drought is taking a toll, the greens didn't look any better. They airated the greens so putting was a wishing game. Besides all these smaill issues, it was well worth the money.
sharpen your short game
The key to the 6 short par 4s with narrow fairways is your club selection. The rest are par 3 holes ranging from 65 to 175 sharpens your short game. Excellent view and friendly staff makes this course a must play when you're in LA.
Great deal for the $$
They even run a deal buy a large bucket of balls for $8 and you can buy a nice Nike glove for $5. I happend to be in need of a new glove.
They also do a special
Buy a large bucket of balls and get 3 beers for $5.
They have a number of deals. The course in in pretty good shape for sept in SoCal. The greens are excellent and super plush!
Overall a great experience for an executive course. I am definitely going back soon you can;t beat the prices to have a great practice golf round with amazing views.
Scholl was plain Fun !!
Course is too nice to offer $ 9 golf now rates ! The fairways, approaches and greens are all ingood shape and well defined. Overall facility was near immaculate.
Course is mostly short 3's(14 is crazy) with a couple 140-167yds. Par 4's short but fun (13 is crazy). All tee boxes were in good shape except for one tee box.
Mostly short iron play for better golfers but intermedites will have fun and beginners its a challenge. Go have fun at Scholl !!
Great deal + Great views = Great time
Played here for $7 through Golf Now...can't beat that! Great views of LA! Some pretty challenging holes, especially on the back 9. Staff was friendly - One of the member of the grounds crew offered us water and even found one of our clubs. Only complaints were that many of the greens were filled with divots (fix 'em people!) and that several of the greens were being watered as we were playing. Overall had a great time and will definitely be back.
great views
The course was short but chalenging. The greens were soft and slower than I am used to. but beautiful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The views are spectacular. A Very Clear day would make Great Pictures.
Tricky greens
This course always is an amazing value. At one time a couple years ago I was confident in my reads on these greens but after taking a break from Scholl for a couple years I was unfortunately fooled again. You have to putt well to score well here. And sometimes it's hard to get the ball to stop 3 feet from the hole. Watch out for some tricky pin positions and KEEP IT BELOW THE HOLE!
Great experience
Amazing views and a really nice course. Front 9 pretty forgiving but back 9 has some crazy canyons that forces you to make a good shot. Not the best for beginners like me. I went late afternoon on a slow day so the pace was fine. Except for people behind me...
Breathe Taking Mountain top views
Excellent course, well maintained, good balance of play difficulty hole to hole, great value!
Lots of sand and bunny rabbits
The title says it all. Good little executive course. Most par 3's are similar on the front 9 but the back nine is cool way up on the hill.
Beautiful executive course that offers some unique challenges
I played alone @ 5:30am on a Friday, so I pretty much had the course to myself. That said, I finished all 18 in about 1.5 hours!
The course was in good shape, and the greens were in great condition. There's lots of wildlife out there, too. A hummingbird flew up to me in my cart and hovered around for a while. There are lots of brown rabbits throughout, and a whole flock of green parrots.
The back 9 offers the best views on the course and also contains more elevation changes. There is one hole where the fairway narrows quite a bit and bends around a cliff, providing for a challenge to those who tend to slice their drives. A par 3 hole has the green surrounded on 3 sides by cliffs, and provides an area where you have to precisely hit the ball within about a 20 yard landing area. I thought it was great fun and luckily landed on the green.
Overall, this was a great course for a quick morning play through. I will definitely be back!

Great view of the Valley
Excellent executive course. I love walking this golf course, especially the challenging terrain of the back 9.
Good executive course. Surprisingly nice views.
I play Scholl pretty often. As long as the pace is decent, you can finish this course in 3 hours, which is nice if you don't have a full day to play golf. It's not a scenic course by any stretch, but the views of the city on the back nine are some of the best you can find.
Definitely a few challenging holes, but overall this is an easygoing course. Most of the par 4's are shorter, with risk/reward tee shots. The par 3's are a mixed bag. A lot of wedges off the tee. Bring your friends, drink a few beers, have fun!
Slow Slow Slow
An hour late to T off, and 5+ hours for 15 holes, we finally gave up as the back up at 16 was 8 carts.
Nice Course, spread out the T times and maybe it would be a lot nicer.
golf course
I love this course and greens because it truly makes you work on your game
Hilltop View
I've slowly been getting into golf again over he last year and have reached the point that par 3 courses are often to boring to maintain my interest anymore. And what I found is that Scholl Canyon is the perfect next step.
While it is mostly par 3s it has enough interesting terrain and scattered par 4s to keep me entertained but without making a fool of myself.
The price is amazing to play 18 holes with a cart on a well maintained course (except for many of the front 9 sand traps). Beautiful views of the hills and LA. There is a landfill next door that isn't quite as pretty but it looks to be almost done so might not be an eyesore for much longer. And it doesn't smell so no real complaints there.
The only downside I had was pace of play. I had a group of two dads with their two sons who started late then proceeded to hit every stroke rather than realizing they should probably move on to the next hole to keep up pace of play. Added probably an extra 45 minutes to the round most of which was sitting at the tee box waiting as the sun slowly dipped below the horizon. So ended up playing the last two holes in darkness essentially.
great scenery.
Mountain top of the city of Glendale, every course invite you to the great expreience of prestige golf course. It is ideal place to work on your Iron shots and precisions... I love to go there...!!!
Decent Executive Course, But Always Run Way Behind
Only complaint - tee time was for 12:59. Actually teed off at 1:40. This is pretty typical here.
