This short hole requires precise landing (lots of loft!), with the green having cliffs on 3 sides! Photo submitted by joelhulen on 05/31/2014

Great short course with fantastic views!
Scholl Canyon is a short but challenging little course. The views are impressive and its a short drive from LA!
Pro shop
The only bad thing is the pro shop only carries Nike. So if you are one of those players that swears by certain balls. Your best bet is to buy some before you play this course. Great course overall though
short but challenging
First time on this course and was pleasently surprize. Course was undergoing mainteneance so home holes were modified. Once back to normal will play again. Greens were in excellent condition. Back nine .. some holes very difficult due to canyon on sides. Will be back soon.
Undergoing huge construction projects
Who wants to play a course that has 5 or more holes under construction and heavy dirt moving equipment beeping all over the course?
Very short par 3 course
Good course, maintained well, just a very short par 3 course.
played wilshire cc & tierra rejada earlier this week but had fun on this cuteexecutive course! can't wait to play
Short but with enough challenge. Fun course to practice hitting straight cuz you need to. With Golfnow hot deal, what a great value!
Goat Patch
The views are nice on a clear day but other than that, what can you really say about this course? I played with my Dad on a weekend just for a fun round, but even for just a humorous afternoon it was more of a joke than anything else. The holes are very short and mostly par 3's. The par 4's are usually less than 300 yards. Much attention is needed, there are weeds on the tee boxes and the bunkers contain have huge rocks. Slow play is given at this course as it is more for beginners than anything else. The driving range looked pathetic and sad to say the least. Could be a decent track for higher handicaps if the course was in better shape. As a lower handicap player, it wasn't a fun round but we did have a good time joking around about the course. Wouldn't spend the $21 per person on this course again.
Great value.
played on 3/26/13 in under 3 hours. Course is short but tricky and greens are in great shape - very quick.
Great value at golf now price.
Great fun. Short but challenging. Great views. Great staff.
Scholl is a hidden gem in Glendale. the course is short, but the back nine, filled with excellent views of LA, is very tight and challenging. the pace of play is great (especially for LA courses). the golfnow rates were a very good deal. And the staff, especially the head pro John, were very nice.
short but challenging
great place to work on short game greens were in great shape, and for the most part the fairways were in pretty good condition. the greens are very challenging and you must be a little accurate you dont have to be long just accurate. fun course to play was done in a little over 2 hours!
Cool February
No14's back Tee has been move to forward, it prefer to original place and arroung green net must be fixed.
A worthy short executive course with great views of downtown LA
I just played Scholl for the first time, and overall I enjoyed the course- but I did know that it was a short course with traffic. It took almost 4 hours to play this 3k yard course which was a bit painful but I wasn't in a rush. Lots of par 3s, many under 100 yards, so good for working your wedge game. I found the greens slippery and uneven so had a hard time 2 putting on several holes. One of my favorite things was the great views of LA and downtown. Very picturesque. Overall I would come back on a leisurely day when I want to work on the short game and not pull driver.
Never come here
I can honestly say that I would never go back to the course. Not only are the conditions beyond horrible, but some of the greens are ridiculous. The way they are sloped, hole number one for instance, feels as if you are putting at a miniature golf course. The only good thing this place has going for itself are the views. All in all, I would never go back. Every tee box is on a sloped piece of dirt with patches of grass. Every fairway is completely dormant. Every lie you play is simply unacceptable. On top of all that, you have to wait at each and every tee box. I would not even consider this course a practice round, playing here would only help you improve bad habits for your game. I'd much rather play De Bell, Brookside, or ANY other 18 hole course nearby. This course would not be worth it, even if it were priced at $10 a round on a Saturday morning at 8am.
Love this place
This is a great place to work on your short game. The greens can be rough at times but this is mainly from other golfers not fixing there divots. For the $ it is a great course.
Great Course, Very Tricky Greens!
This is a beautiful course to play, great views and very well maintained course. The staff was super friendly (good specials as well) and received great rates on Golf Now. One important thing to note is that the greens at this course are super tricky, they are maintained well, although they have ridiculous slopes that you have to be cautious about. The pace of play was average as we had a foursome in front that was taking their time, not a big deal though. The views at this course were phenomenal and I can't wait to play here again!
Good location on top of a mountain.
The greens were in bad condition, very slow and inconsistent.
VERY UNIQUE GOLFING EXPERIENCE
I have played golf for 40+ years, and have played all over California. This is a very interesting golf course lay-out. Some of the greens (#1, #10), are very difficult to putt, I seem to leave with a few 3 putts, and on occasion have 4 putted, and have walked off the green scratching my head !!! This course has very high "risk/reward" conditions on a few holes. Can't beat the price if you look online, you can score. The novelty of the course alone will always bring me back..
Fun course, tests a lot of shots,
i play it once a week, great views, tough greens, a variety of shots are required.
good for beginners and short hitters
As a fairly new golfer, I enjoy playing here because its not as long as the par 72 courses out there, and its never very crowed. Not easy to play the back nine, but fun as it is high on the mountain. Nice people and nice design and easy to get to. If I wanted to take up the game, and didn't want to hold anyone up for fear of my slow play, this is the one I would go to......good price too.
