Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club

The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The course can still use some work but it has really improved in the last month. The pace of play has also improved because they have mowed and players don't have to spend so much time searching for errant balls. Great views of the Clermont area.

We moved here in 2014, played Sanctuary when we came down in Oct 2014 looking at houses. When we moved, we joint the course in 2015 and again in 2017. 2018 the price because there was new management and they were going to fix up the course, so because of the increase, we decided not to play. We did play once in 2018 and again today!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!! The course has gone downhill. The sand bunkers are overgrown with weeds, there's still hole, pits, bumps, etc on several holes - I must say, the green are good!! We were very disappointed. A great course has gotten so bad. When we played in 2015, the grounds crew was ALWAYS out there work on the course. Only thing good was that there were still some of people we known since 2015 still working there.

A very interesting and testing golf course. The only course we have played in Florida which can boast fantastic views, hills and variable shot options, with the Ball sometimes being higher or lower than your feet on the fairways similar to some courses in the UK.

This is not a typical Florida Golf course. The elevation changes and blind tee shots on a few holes makes for a challenging but great round. I play 3 times a week at courses around Sarasota so the elevation changes were awesome. The fairways are good but the rough is definitely rough. All around great course.

This has always been one of my favorite courses. Drove an hour to play and got my money back after 2holes. They are literally only mowing a third of the fairway. Looks like a landing strip. We lost multiple balls only because the unmoved area is knee high. What should be fairway isn’t taken care of at all. The bunkers are now giant waste areas that look as if they haven’t been taken care of in months. Literally lost a ball in a green side bunker due to the weeds. I really can’t understand what is happening to all these great courses in Orlando.

The rough at this course has not ben mown for weeks. We spent more time looking for someone's ball than we did golfing. They said the mower was broken but that was the excuse used three weeks ago. Makes U. S. Open rough look like the first cut of a green. Love the layout but it's just not fun playing there right now.

Overall really nice place to play, the biggest sand traps I've ever seen. Lots of challenging holes and really good par 3s.

I have always enjoyed the layout of this course. The greens were in pretty good shape but the bunkers were in terrible shape....weedy and looks like they had not seen any attention in a long time. The fairways were OK but the area off the fairways were weedy and had not seen any attention in a long while. Some of the rough was up to your knees. With some attention this could be a hidden gem. It will take some time to get this course back in shape but with no more attention that it seems to be getting it may soon not be worth the money even at the reduced rates that they are charging.

I played for the first time in about a year, the course has really improved. Greens, fairways and tees were good. Rough was high due to the amount of rain we have had. If you have not played this course in a while give it another try it is much improved and very playable

Not that bad course ! Condition is ok ! The greens are good ...it’s $28 a round so you pay for what you get really ...the rough is bad so if you not straight will need spare balls for sure

It’s SO IMPORTANT for the owner of Sanctuary Ridge to understand how important this course is to Clermont.

Other than Bella Colina, Sanctuary Ridge, in comparison, has the best VISTAs around. This you can’t take away. Although the course may rescind in condition the landscape is always there. For those that have trashed this course in the recent past need to come back and play this course. Regular maintenance and general improvements are on going and the efforts are paying off. The fairways are much improved and the greens are really showing improvements.

Only 3.5 hours for play on Saturday afternoon. Including waiting on 3 holes.

Playable. Worth the $12 + taxes and fees. Good layout. Conditions not what they once we're.

This use to be one of the best courses around. The layout, elevation changes and views are amazing however the course has gone down hill the last year. From the weedy fairways and tee boxes to the hard sand bunkers and uncut/patchy greens it's just awful. This is the closest course to my house since stoneybrook west closed so it's very unfortunate. I'm not sure what is going on there but either the owner quit caring or the people responsible for the conditions have no idea what they are doing. So sad..... The last couple reviews must have been from employees. =(

I quit after 9, would’ve quit after 3 but I was already out of the house. Horrible conditions. I don’t know who they laid to leave the last couple of reviews but just read them as the complete opposite of what they wrote. How do I get a refund for this catastrophe? I was taking full shots with the putter just to get the ball to the hole on the green. The guy in the pro-shop that checked me in even had this look on his face like ‘I’m soo sorry’. Should’ve known.
