Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club

We play this course every time we're in Orlando because we love the views!! There is no course around that can match it's wide vistas. The course layout is very challenging with some water and sand in the perfect locations to catch the average golfer. If there was a little maintenance around the tees and greens and sand traps this could be a 5 star course. It's very bumpy leaving the tees and greens on the cart and none of the sand traps were maintained... as the starter told us, it's pick, clean and place. Great course for the money! We had one of the first tee times and the three of us finished in 3.5 hours... beautiful!!

Poor fairways too many blind shot holes from the tea too many sand traps that were not well-maintained very poor grass both in the rough in on the fairways. Of the 30 or so Florida courses that I've played I would put the scores in the bottom one fourth.

No complaints apart from extremely slow play. Often four foursomes on same hole. Need to review the number of tee offs per hour.

Due to the very slow pace of play we were only able to 9 holes.

Played this for the first time as showing 4 stars. More like 3 stars as layout is very good and can be a great course, but can't nation is very average with tees, greens and fairways again average. Greens were constant speed bur varied in condition. Bunkers not well managed and general condition of paths, etc is poor. Ok for value for money.

Chose Sanctuary Ridge due to the rating...not a 4 star course. I am giving the lowest score of 1 star. We played in 3.5 hours and was told to pick up the pace. Sand is everywhere and not good condition. I would call it playground sand vs something appropriate for a golf course. No one rakes sand as locals simply rake and place every time. Deep ravines, and plenty of up and down holes (not in a good way). Firm and slow greens, blind shots. Meal was best part of day. Don't make plan to use the disgusting shower. Save your money and try another course. Pay for what you get. Course is for the locals and it shows.

Great set up with a lot of undulations in the fairways. Greens were true and fast.

Would definitely recommend this course to anyone wishing a little different experience than the typical Orlando type course.

First time at Sanctuary Ridge. The course was in great condition and I really enjoyed the views. The changes in elevations definitely makes for a challenging day trying to select the right club.

Alot of the challenge came in because of the wind. When you add in how much elevation changes there are on this course, it was difficult to pick the correct club. I think I'll score better and like it even more the next time I play. Greens were sometimes a challenge to read as well.

Course in fairly good condition. Fertilizer on greens so course is trying to improve conditions.

the day would have been perfect except for the wind it had to be blowing over 30 mph and it was a biting wind course in really good condition staff was excellent and friendly teamed up with two very nice gentlemen and goo g golfer also will play again

Retired and playing more golf now. I needed some direction. I signed up for lessons. This has helped my play greatly. The pro is very knowledgeable.

The starter Jeff was the most engaging I have encountered EVER! They had a 'players assistant' on the 4th hole that was nice----and the Cart girl as well!

We joined a twosome (one was a member) on #14.
ALL FOUR of the Sanctuary folks said "Come back and see us again"----must be the motto---Haha!

I thought the 1st hole was the weakest, the third hole didn't 'suit my eye' (dogleg left holes seldom do). But after #3, it seemed as if each hole was got progressively nicer! And when you finish #17, you will think that the last hole must be lesser---but 18 is great, too!!

So, the back nine is tougher, but nicer than the front---enjoy it!!!

If you want to play a course where each hole is dramatically different than the last one, then this course is for you. Even from the white tees at 5700 yards, it will test your skills. The views from some of the holes are breathtaking. What ruined the day was the slow play. A few big-hitters just wouldn't tee off until the group in-front were on the green. We had to wait on every shot.

Very slow play. It took 5 hours. Sand traps in poor condition. Course only fair condition. Also 1/2 hr. late in getting started. This should have been an indication to management that play was slow.

This is the only hilly course I have played in florida underlay enjoyed it. Every hole is different and course is in b better than average condition for this time of year.

I've played here several times over the years and find it to be a nice challenge. I played after 2 days of rain and the course drained very good. Fairways and rough were in good condition. The greens were in decent shape and very tough to read. Pin placement was questionable. I will definitely play here again.

It is always different to play a course type that you don't see every day. The changes in elevation are certainly something you don't see with most Orland area courses. The staff were awesome! It is nice to feel like your business is appreciated!

Very unusual course for Florida. Very hilly with lots of blind shots to well bunkered greens. I think the course ratings for higher handicap golfers is too low. Make sure you play the proper tees for you ability. Also it helps to have someone in your group who has played the course before. Great course for the money. Had a great time.
