ChampionsGate Golf Club - International

The course is generous and kind with wide open fairways but it doesn't look kindly on wayward tee shots. Stray too far, there are plenty of knee high rough to hinder your next shot. A great resort course, I would be very happy to come back here.

Enjoyed our round. Pace was great course in great condition. You have to keep the ball in the fairway, otherwise you’ll be adding strokes to your score. This for just of the fairway and forget the high stuff. Do enjoy the layout of the course and the staff all are very courteous and friendly. Would cone back.

I hadn’t played the course in a while but it exceeded my expectations. It played as well or better than the private club I belong to with true greens that were fast, fairways that thick and allowed for a nice divot and roughs that were tough but fair. Lots of risk/reward shots that put strategy into play. I was also impressed with the staff there. Laney was on the cart and she was great. Saw her 4 times during the round.. She had a great personality and made us feel appreciated. We also stopped by the bar after the round and Abbey did a great job as well. I will be playing there more and at my club a little less. Definitely worth playing.

Have wanted to play for a while and finally got the chance to. No idea there was so much acreage near Orlando to where you feel like you are secluded and in the Isles of the UK. Fabulous, staff great, can't think of any negatives. A true test of golf and very enjoyable at the same time.

The pace of play was so bad today, almost 2 hours in and only completed 5 holes. 4some ahead had zero etiquette to let us go through and I donr think it was because they were being mean, but probably didn't understand to waive us through.

I ended up leaving and just wasting my money today which is very unfortunate.

I do request a call from the pro shop.

Maintenance sprinklers were on hole 11, also13 working around green side sand trap, sprinklers on 14 par 3. Also 15 a group of maintenance men talking where we could hear them. This was our second round this week. Maybe just bad luck, first round was good.

Greens, fairways, tees and trap were awesome.

On the 6th hole (441 from the whites, number 1 handicap hole) I got out of my cart, snapped the white flag in the green at 216, looked at the cart FPS and that was also 216. Went with a cut 3 wood that started a little left of the green but never got back. While driving up not too far from the green and saw I had a tricky down hill lie just off the green for my 3rd shot chip on the par 4. Then I looked at the flag to see that it was a short flag for the junior course #2. The real hole was 88 yards to the right of that hole (exactly pun high to the 6th hole - they both were 216 yards from the fairway) which left a half pw on a down hill lie, led to a double and hurt my front 9 score.

Now the issue Why would Championsgate use white flags on the junior course that match the white flags used on The International course? Major oversight here. They (junior course pins) should be all blue, yellow or red or any color but white. This could be a huge problem for a serious golfer if this was during a qualifier or something important like a tournament. Please change those flags so nobody else has this issue. Thank you.

We played the international course and found it in good shape. Green were rolling nice and the course was in good shape . The day was windy and made it a lot more challenging. Still a nice day.

This course is for intermediate to good golfers. Too many high handicap golfers slowing down play. Other than that the course is great. They need Marshalls
