ChampionsGate Golf Club - International

Greens, fairways, tees and trap were awesome.

On the 6th hole (441 from the whites, number 1 handicap hole) I got out of my cart, snapped the white flag in the green at 216, looked at the cart FPS and that was also 216. Went with a cut 3 wood that started a little left of the green but never got back. While driving up not too far from the green and saw I had a tricky down hill lie just off the green for my 3rd shot chip on the par 4. Then I looked at the flag to see that it was a short flag for the junior course #2. The real hole was 88 yards to the right of that hole (exactly pun high to the 6th hole - they both were 216 yards from the fairway) which left a half pw on a down hill lie, led to a double and hurt my front 9 score.

Now the issue Why would Championsgate use white flags on the junior course that match the white flags used on The International course? Major oversight here. They (junior course pins) should be all blue, yellow or red or any color but white. This could be a huge problem for a serious golfer if this was during a qualifier or something important like a tournament. Please change those flags so nobody else has this issue. Thank you.

We played the international course and found it in good shape. Green were rolling nice and the course was in good shape . The day was windy and made it a lot more challenging. Still a nice day.

This course is for intermediate to good golfers. Too many high handicap golfers slowing down play. Other than that the course is great. They need Marshalls

Great course. Well manicured and greens are in perfect shape. Fun holes with lots of challenges but shorter tees available for high handicap players. Staff was beyond great. Had a wonderful time. Well worth the money.

Everything about the International course is excellent. Course conditions are best I have seen anywhere for a long long time. (For reference in the last 3 weeks i have played Waldorf, both Orange County courses, Shingle Creek, Mission Inn and Falcons Fire). Greens are very challenging, fast, firm and so true. Fairways and tees are excellent. Rough is plenty challenging. Practice areas are excellent. Staff was nice and very helpful. Really looking forward to my next round there.

Played several rounds this month on International course , also National course. Have played other area courses, but Championsgate golf club conditions surpasses them all.

From tee to green it is difficult to imagine a course in better condition than CG-I. The only blemishes are the unfilled divots that irresponsible golfers have failed to repair. The greens are fast and true but receptive to a crisply struck approach shot. The tees are invariably healthy and plush. The rough is full and as difficult as it should be. Under the pleasant conditions I experienced, the course fairly tested one’s golfing skills. However, given a brisk wind, instead of a gentle breeze, CG-I could certainly be a monster! The layout is straight forward and there are no hidden tricks or pitfalls. Simply stated, the course has no shortcomings and is a treat to play! I highly recommend it.

course was immaculate. Greens were fast and firm. Played the back tees and still got into trouble. Have to play this track once to understand where you can miss your shots. The rough was punishing as it should be. A perk was watching Patrick Reed getting a lesson from David Ledbetter.

The course was in great shape but the winds from the hurricane that hit the panhandle made it extremely difficult.

Visiting from Houston. Course was difficult but playable. Loved the layout! Greens were great, tough to read but great. Course was in great shape too!
