The Plantation Golf Club - Cranes Roost Course
About
The Cranes Roost Course is one of two championship courses at the Plantation at Leesburg. This semi-private golf course features dramatic elevation changes of up to 170 feet. The hilly terrain provides rolling fairways and undulating greens. Water hazards also come into play through much of the golf course, providing further challenge. The Cranes Roost Course accommodates golfers of all skill levels, but it can be especially challenging if taken too casually. In addition to the two golf courses, the Plantation at Leesburg offers a practice facility for golfers to work on their short game as well as a pro shop and staff of golf professionals.

Best it's been ever.
Played with some members and found the course in great shape. The greens were putting the best I've seen since playing at the Plantation. Oh did I mention I shot a 75 that might of had something to do with why I think the course is playing so well, just kidding. Keep up the good work gang.
I have played this course many times. It is a good test.
The course is in excellent condition. The greens although slow on the front side were in beautiful shape.
fair track, fun enough, worth the drive
further from home than some courses, but worth the effort. no crowds made it a smooth 3.5 hour round, finishing just before the threatening rain broke. not many real trouble spots, but the score says differently! great deal for an afternoon of golf fun.
Great course for the money
The course was great for the money. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in very good shape. The greens were the same throughout the 18 holes. The only complaint we had was that you couldn't buy a drink (soft drink, Gatorade etc) until after 11:00 AM. There was water on the course, but come on, put a cooler in the club house. It was 94 degrees the day we played. But a good course, will play there again. Will bring friends there when they come to visit. Thanks Golf Now
5 tight holes; but overal a good and faiur challenge
This course has two par 72 courses. The Cranes Roost course is wide open and fun to play; while the Otter Creek course is a much tighter, tree lined, ball placement challenge. Both Fairways and Greens are i9n excellent condition.
Wonderful day out!
I was part of a foursome organized by a friend who lives at the Plantation. Great conditions.
Good course, well maintained
On the short side, from the tips. Some tough holes, but overall, not too difficult to score well. I am a resident, and have played this course hundreds of times. Good senior course.
Challenging yet nice layout for average golfer
I Have played the course several times well maintained. The staff is very friendly and found the round very enjoyable
Great course
First time playing Cranes course. Great course. Very good variety in length and difficulty. Well groomed fairways and great greens. Will play again when I am in the area.
Enjoyed the layout.
Golf with my uncle. We were teamed with a father and son. Great time by all. The course is quite enjoyable and in good shape. The greens were undulating but not to the point of frustration.
otter creek
tree lined with magnificent huge trees.miss your shot and pay the price. especially otters revenge holes 13-14-15. a real gem
the course was in nice shape
the fairways were in great shape and tuff. I have been in Flordia an played many courses I must rate this as one of the best. I played it on a limb for we were going out for dinner in the area. We did make a good choise.
cranse roost at plantation is a great layout. my friends travel from orlando to play it, and the three of them are in their eighties.
plantation is a retirement development. their two courses would not be very challenging to young, low handicappers, but for the rest of us, especially seniors, both courses are great fun.
challenging fairways
I actually ended up playing the Otter Creek course. The front nine are pretty strait forward and easy to shoot a good score. The back nine starting at the 13th hole goes through the woods and requires much more finesse as you approach your tee shot. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are all well maintained. I would recommend this course to golfers of all skill levels.
Front 9 is narrow Back 9 is wide open
The front 9 is very challenging for a player that uses the whole course like me at times. You can get intimidated by the houses off the tee. Greens were normal. The back nine was the best part of the whole course and very nice to play. The only thing was not being able to take the cart off the path on holes 10 to 16. Made for slower play.
Always a great day of golf here
Enjoyed the challenge from the weather has well as the course. the pace was good and I played well. The staff all were pleasant and friendly, looking forward to playing here again.
Really liked the layout
We play Otter creek & Cranes Roast ,The staff are very friendly
My main complaint is with some of the Club members. We were two some on the first hole on Otter creek 2 Foursomes of menbers Teed up in front of us .We were Prepared for little longer round of golf. The Foursome in front of us Fell two holes behind and we ask them if we could play through and they told us no . We decided to quit and on the way in the foursome that was the first one off Tee told us to go in front of them After we told them what happened with the group behind them Which was really nice of them .We declined there offer, and quit they said to report it to the pro shop which we did.tThey also drove their carts right next to the greens
Got rained out after 10 holes,
Course was interesting always seems to be a little slow
I like playing there
Crane's Roost looks nice, plays very well
I like this green golf course. Temps are warming up! The Proshop staff is easy going and happy, a very welcoming crowd. Plantation Oaks restaurant cooks up some excellent dishes, and the draft beers are cold!
