Spring Valley Golf Course

People were great esp Frank, course Condition was Perfect including the Weather. The only think we didn't like about it and did not make sense was that we couldn't bring the carts to our cars to get our bags but, after you can? Was informed that it was due to Covid Restrictions. Really? First course that we encountered with this.

Good course condition (keep it up!) this course is always my favorite one. Today, staff was friendly (PLEASE keep it too too!) Always going back to this course. I highly recommend playing at this cours!

Nice course nestled in foothill east of Milpitas. My only complaint was the fairways. These fairways were very hard and it was nearly impossible to get any lift with my irons. So mainly I used my 5&7 woods to play. Last time I played was before 2020 Covid year. I did not as good as I can due to some unforeseen circumstances that caused me to be unpleasant.

Everything about the course is usually really good- layout, location, and most conditions.

BUT, the greens are awful right now. They punched and sanded them over a month ago, and they are nowhere near being 'recovered'. They are still very BUMPY, and nothing seems to be happening to get them back to normal. You can hit the perfect putt, line, speed, but it won't go in the hole because of the bumps.....it stinks. You WILL 3-putt more than you would otherwise. Something needs to be done, they're making more money than ever! Yet, not spending it on either the greens, or the driving range. Used to be a favorite course of mine, now..........not so much.

San Jose muni and Santa Teresa punched their greens 1 week before Spring Valley did, and they were fully recovered 2 weeks after........ San Jose Muni greens are in WAY better shape. I'll be playing other courses until SV makes a move to show improvement.

Please roll, water, and maintain the greens.

Great course. No tricks or gimmicky holes but ball placement is key. Pin placement can be challenging as green slopes are deceiving.

The young man setting up golf carts had the rudest attitude. There was no sense of him enjoying his job nor did he he give us the feeling that he wanted us golfing there.

I know I'm not the first and won't be the last. These pro shop dudes charge me an extra $17 for a cart when I knew for sure my reservation said cart included. Got home afterwards to check and yup, it said cart included. Shady stuff like that is just bad business. There is no way I can ever come back to this place again. Cause if I did, I really am the pushover chump they thought I was. If this happened to me today, it will happen again so heads up.
