Nice Winter Sunday
The safety measures are well thought out, but slow things down a little. They were running a little behind and the first 5 holes were backed up. It take almost 3 hours to play holes. Pace of players could be better and the Marshalls did not try to move groups along,
Course overbooked tee times caused golfer backup front 9 holes took 3 hours so I left.
Worst experience
First of all, practice range is closed, no way to warm up at all. Second, course condition is worst. This has been the worst I’ve been to in California. All dried up patches. Tees are horrible! Most importantly, customer service is HORRIBLE! This is by far the worst course, you can’t load your golf cart from your car and have to carry all your stuff to pick up the cart! you can’t check in until it’s literally your tee time! There’s so much issues and I have never encountered so much problems in a course before! Even the lady manager thinks we don’t wanna pay for every rider in our reservation, we even paid for our 4 YEAR OLD! It’s like they just wanna say no you can’t play here. Horrible service!
Hello, we are so sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience with us. We want to make sure to address all of the problems you encountered on the course.
We are working as hard as we can to ensure the safety of our customers and staff through the Covid-19 pandemic. We currently have strict protocols in place that affect our regular service, cart, and operating procedures. Having said this, customer service is very important to us and we will be addressing general attitudes with the staff.
Spring Valley underwent a devastating windstorm a couple of months ago, causing huge damage to the entire property. We lost many trees, had severe damage done to our fence lines, and our driving range nets were completely destroyed. We are currently working to find a temporary solution for golfers to warm up before their round while our driving range undergoes the necessary renovations.
Our course is made of Bermuda grass, which goes dormant this time of year. All the courses in the area that use Bermuda grass are a little browner than normal right now. We actually use Bermuda because it is such a nice surface to hit off of even when it is out of season. We can assure you the course is in great condition and as soon as the season is over our course, and all other Bermuda courses in the area, will be completely green again!
We truly are concerned about your experience and would like to learn more so we can better serve our customers moving forward. Our phone number is (408) 262-1722. Please give us a call! Our general manager, Jeff Rockwood, can be reached at ext. 4.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out.

Fun with course
Haven’t played here for a while.,, also didn’t play enough to get my shot good as I wanted. Enjoy playing with group. There were Thursday club outings that delayed a bit. Otherwise weather was excellent and fun.
Nice course
Course is in good condition even though it’s winter. A few greens have uneven growth but generally greens were in decent shape. Typically pace of play is slow on Saturday but today was great. I think weather kept beginners at home.
I had a great time with a few people they paired me with. The pace of play was just very slow, took us 2:15 to play 7 holes
Course In Bad Shape
Not sure what’s going on, but we’re coming out of winter in the next few months and I’ve never seen the course look this dry and yellow. Of this is what it’s like before summer, I fear what it will look like when water restrictions are in play due to drought. Definitely too pricey to play here in these conditions. It’s a shame.

Spring Valley a safe and fun
Covid has changed the way we do everything. Spring Valley has changed their check-in’s, walkway rules and course rules to keep their players safe. Thank you Spring Valley golf course!
Not recommended
The worst place to play golf. Course conditions were really poor. Bare bones brown grass. Lots of rookies so really slow. Staffs treat you badly.
I played golf for 25 years and this is the worst

We try our best to keep up pace of play, but sometimes the weekend can be busy. This is not a reason for our staff to have poor attitudes. We will address this review with the staff. Thank you for your feedback.
Average Muni Course
My first time playing this course, and I wasn’t overly disappointed. I guess my expectations were a little higher because of the location in the foothills. There are a few interesting holes with elevation change or forced carries, but overall it’s a very uninteresting design. Very forgiving, which is nice. The biggest problem with the condition were the greens. They were quite shaggy, and very bumpy. My putts rarely stayed on line, and the speed was inconsistent from one hole to the next. I wasn’t expecting striped fairways and resort sand in the bunkers, but the greens deserve more attention.
Overall, I wouldn’t pay top dollar to play here again, but it’s not a bad course if you can get a cheap twilight tee time like I did.
Hi Josh,
We are so sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience with us. We want to assure you that we didn't overbook our tee sheet, it was the same as everyday we are open. Our marshals work hard to keep the course moving, but sometimes on the weekends when the weather is nice, and people are enjoying the course, it can prove difficult. We are very sorry you didn't get a full round in! We hope you will come back and give us another shot. Thank you for the feedback!
