About
Editor's Note: Course closed and reopen as The Yards.
The Oak Bridge Club (formerly known as Ponte Vedra Golf & Country Club at Sawgrass) in the heart of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., sits adjacent to the famed Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. The 6,413-yard, par-70 Arnold Palmer design features water on every hole, tree-lined fairways and undulating greens. Oak Bridge favors accuracy and strategy over power and distance. New owners have upgraded the clubhouse and introduced a new restaurant, The 3 Palms Grille. A tennis center is home to 10 Har-Tru clay courts.

Course Needs Work
My only complaint is the greens. 15 out of 18 were unplayable. When you putted the ball, you could watch a 10 putt twist and turn with every worn out spot. It would have been playing aerated greens.
There is new management. I would wait a few months and see how the changes improve playing conditions on the greens. The people working the course were all excellent. I hope the new owners can make the necessary changes. Over all there is plenty of challenge on this course for my level of skill.
Under new management
Greens are in terrible shape right now. This course needs a lot of money to revamp everything.
Staff was friendly but will not go back unless invited to play and assured that the course is ready for golfers.
We understand your honest assessment of our greens. We have been applying much effort towards our maintenance practices so look for improvements in the coming months. The new owners and management are committed to transforming The Oak Bridge Club.
Thank you for your visit.
Worse course in town!!
By far the worst course ever played my life. I played the first hole and left and didn't even ask for a rain check because I will personally never ever play that course again in my life.
Stay Away From This Course !!
Played the course on 4/20/16 and they should have paid me to play. The course is in VERY BAD CONDITION. The greens are primarily dirt with a few blades of grass thrown in. Weeds are uncut and growing around the sand traps, if you call them sand traps...mostly hard packed dirt. What simply could be a nice course in a great location, well do I need to say more?? DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS COURSE!!!!!

Being renovated.
The greens are a disaster. Should be first thing improved.

Not a diamond in the rough
This course has the potential to be a little above average but it's poor grass conditions and layout will prevent that. In some areas the housesame are way too close to the fairways. With as much winding and bends the fairways make there should be at least a map of the course and the hazards posted in the cart. Just not worth the money.
Last time these guys get a nickle from me
This place is a dump. I don't know why anyone wastes money here. It was a good tract of land. They have abused it and ruined it. I think they are getting ready to sell to build on here. Goodness knows when the last time they watered. Greens are ruined and the fairway are awful. This is the worst course I have played on. The only thing worse than the course is the attitude of the staff. They must know something. Run away!
Owner comments to check website www.rediscoveroakbridge.com, but the website is shut down because it is under maintenance. Perhaps they should do the same with course until it is done.
Comments are the same as when I played over 2 years ago!

Not worth the $25 Anymore
Apparently while the pro shop and range get renovated the course is going to get completely ignored. I'm from NY and I've seen better greens with snow on them. It's one thing to have some patches and brown areas. It's another for your ball to look like one of those gag gifts rolling across the surface. I shot my best round of the year, but I certainly won't be going back for at least another year or I see a picture of the green/tee box conditions. This was my favorite course for the value but it's just not playable until they start taking care of the course like they are the rest of the amenities.
Miserable Condition
This was the second time I played this course. The first time (more than a year ago) was a very enjoyable experience however this time the greens were absolutely horrible. They weren't green they were brown. Mud was everywhere. The sand traps had no sand in them at all. Trees overhanging the fairways made it very difficult to hit a ball in the fairway. I thought I was getting a great deal at $27 but it's not even worth half of that. Please fix this course because it's a great layout.

Do not play here
As a Sawgrass course, I must say I was expecting much more. What we played was a course that should be closed until significant repairs and upgrades are completed. It is in a gated community and the houses and feel of the property are nice. Unfortunately, that is where the beauty ends. Upon arriving at the course it was noted that the clubhouse was very dated (1970ish) and the pro shop was closed. Check in was in a corner of the restaurant with a staff member seated at a makeshift desk. The driving range was under repair but open out to 200 yds. The chipping and putting greens were in terrible condition and should have been closed. These things should have sent up numerous red flags, but we decided to play. The tee boxes on all of the holes are not maintained. The fairways were not mowed to a consistent height and were loaded with different types of weeds; including silverdollars . The sand bunkers had not been raked and had blackish/brown caked area's in them. The greens were in the worst shape I have ever seen anywhere. They had bare spots, weeds, and have not been cared for in some time ( A goat would starve on them). It truly looks like they have stopped caring for the course while the repairs are being made .
So in closing, I would recommend you spend your money anywhere other than here. The course should be closed until it is in presentable and playable condition.

Should be better
Understand the course is under new ownership. The course is a mess right now but let's all hope that in time the course can be restored after many years of neglect. The location is great make it affordable and I am sure it will be a very attractive golf destination in the very near future.

Late afternoon tee time.
I teed off as a single at 3:4pm and was finished playing 9 holes at 4;50pm. The course was wide open and a few times I played two balls to make the round more interesting. The greens are in VERY rough shape so putting is challenging, i.e. Inconsistent speeds, no line consistency and impossible to read. I payed $18.00 for the 9 holes and that's a fair price for an hour of working on my game.

The course needs tender loving care. Hopefully the new owners will do the right thing and bring it back to life!!!!!!

Very poor conditions
The greens were awful. The worst greens I have ever played. Do not play this golf course until the fix the greens. Do not play if offered a 95% discount.
Course in poor condition
This is a really nice par 70 course. Fairly challenging but the course conditions are awful. it's really a shame that this course is not maintained because is could be great! No water in any of the ball cleaners. no lights in the restrooms on the course. Plan on loosing a lot of balls due to lack of course maintenance. Not bad if you can get a hot deal for under $20.00 but plan on losing $20 in balls. Very unfortunate that they have let this course decline because it really has potential to be great.
Local round of golf
The course is in really bad shape, it has a very fun layout and some challenging shots. But the greens are really rough and the traps are like concrete. It is a shame as it has great potential. I probably will not be going back for a while, too many other good courses for the $ nearby.

Deserately needs cash infusion
My first clue that this course might have been a poor choice was pulling into a nearly empty parking lot on a beautiful 70 degree day in January. Where are the golfers? As I approached the bag-drop, there were two nice young men to assist, but there were no carts. If there are no golfers and no carts, what's the deal? I later found out that there were 25 carts that were non-operational for one reason or another and no intention to get them repaired. Really? Moving on, the greens are not overseeded with winter grass, so you are putting on dormant (brown) remnants of grass and, in some areas, bare dirt. I can tolerate a lot, but really poor greens is not on the list. I will not be back. P.S. - St. Johns County should buy this course and fix it up. It has potential to be a gem, AND a money maker.
I agree, fantastic layout but a wet, muddy course and an ownership that won't put a nickel into the golf course. Pro shop is a desk and cash register, barren and spooky, how wierd is that?
Very poor
The greens were very bad. They were not maintained and muddy. I was the only player on the course that morning and played quickly, I would not recommend playing this course for half the price.
Horrible!
Broken down!! No one taking care of this course or facility. Greens nothing but mud. Not worth what they are asking. Not enough carts to even get through AM tee times and only 15 cars in parking lot. Our cart limped into the turn, had to change it out, but had to wait for one that worked. Took 20 mins. It's a shame!! Sell this course to someone who will keep it up.
