The Oak Bridge Club (formerly known as Ponte Vedra Golf & Country Club at Sawgrass) in the heart of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., sits adjacent to the famed Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. The 6,413-yard, par-70 Arnold Palmer design features water on every hole, tree-lined fairways and undulating greens. Oak Bridge favors accuracy and strategy over power and distance. New owners have upgraded the clubhouse and introduced a new restaurant, The 3 Palms Grille. A tennis center is home to 10 Har-Tru clay courts.

Worse cause I have played
Fairways were bad had limbs from trees, weeds, and huge spots of missing grass was not worth the 15 bucks I paid on golf now due to the fact that there are so many courses in ponte vedra that have the same value and are 10 times better than this course the green were worse than the fairways and if your ball goes in the rough you will not find it the rough is not rough it is just trees and weeds and areas that are not maintained. I will not play this course again and I will not tell anyone about it. This course needs to be shut down and completely redone it it is a sad sight
Don't waste your money
Upon arrival and checking in the staff was very unfriendly and acted like it was an inconvience to check us in. The grounds are so overgrown with weeds it was difficult to tell the difference between the fairways and rough. Greens are full of crabgrass, clovers and dirt patches. Couldn't believe we actually paid to play the course.
Fun course that could use some work
Overall I had a great time. The staff was friendly and met me at my truck with a cart and offered to load my clubs. Practice facility was in fair condition although the putting green was in rough shape.
Course wasn't crowded at all and we enjoyed a round at a leisurely pace with no waiting on any hole. The biggest complaint was the lack up upkeep around the green complexes. Most of the greens had large sand spots that had a huge impact on putting and the areas around the greens were nearly impossible to chip from as the conditions didn't allow much bounce with the wedge. Otherwise it was a great day at a course that offered a good challenge! I would certainly play there again.
Course needs some work
I like the layout of the course and have enjoyed playing here in the past but the course is in need of some work. The bunkers are like cement, most holes look like they need watering and the greens are like temporary fairway greens. The course would be rated much higher if they step up their maintenance program.
Wet
Not a lot of time or money spent on course maintenance
Great Layout
Great Layout, was very Wet from major Storm Night before. Needs better drainage as this is a frequent occurrence. Very good design on the track, Fairways Greens and Bunkers need Maintenance.
Come for the Price, Play again for the Layout. Excellent track to challenge your Game.
Greens in bad shape and too many geese.
Almost all greens have a fungus problem where grass has died off and mostly dirt and sand. Too much goose droppings everywhere.
Need A lot of work
I've never written a bad review before but I'm not going to lie. It was so bad that the starter came out to us before we started and told us that we should just give each other an automatic 2 strokes once we get on the green because it was unplayable.. And he was right! You absolutely can't putt on any of the greens because they're in that bad of shape. We didn't even keep score so we just hit off the tee and knock a couple of balls to the green and either pick up or just putt for giggles...
Redesigned by Arnold Palmer? Maybe in 1970!
The aerial views of the course show an interesting layout, with lots of sand and water. Unfortunately, the distances are not well marked so, without a GPS, judging distances is inaccurate. The wind made it even more challenging.
Many of the tee boxes had very little grass. Some of the greens were in really poor condition, with large black patches. The speed of the greens was very slow.
The pace of play was fantastic for the first 6 holes because no one was in front of me until I reached a fivesome on the 7th hole. I skipped 7 and played 8 & 9. When I arrived at #10, there were 12 people on the tee.
The facilities seem very dated. They had a distinctive musty odor.
Bad greens ruined my round
The course layout was fun and challenging, The greens were absolutely horrible and totally ruined my golf score. There are bare spots, sand cover, and we truly had 2 greens out of 18 that rolled somewhat true. There's practically no sand in the traps or the traps were compacted as hard as concrete. My mistake was thinking this course would be really nice because it is in the Sawgrass complex... major mistake.
Horrible Greens
Unfortunately the greens need a lot of work.
Recently sold, hopefully the new management can do a better job on the greens. Great location.
Everything good but the pace
After reading many reviews about course conditions, was a little concerned about what to expect. The greens were in fact in very damaged but not unplayable. Overall, course conditions were okay especially considering the amount of rain they had this winter and spring. One thing that was extremely annoying and unacceptable on a very busy Saturday was the pace of play. Ahead of us was a threesome and, apparently, one of them was instructing the other two. My group stood and watched, from a distance, lengthy conversations while this threesome took way too long to shoot, way too long to play a hole, and caused a bottleneck for many groups. When we finally approached them on a teebox, the 'instructor' (who evidently works there in some capacity) said they 'ran into a wall'. No idea what that means but there should have been a ranger out there on a busy Saturday. I would presume that was dumb luck for us and would not expect it to be the norm..
Rough shape
For the price, it wasn't a bad way to go out and hit the ball around for a couple of hours. Pace of play was excellent because I was one of about 8 people playing the course. But they've got to do some work on that place. Didn't look like they had mowed in a week, and the greens were just abysmal. Could be a great course with a little work. Layout is challenging and could be a lot of fun. Par 3s are long and tough.
Disappointment
Poor conditions, fairways like cow pastures, and greens that were pitiful. Couldn't complete the round it was so disappointing.
Fairways Good...Greens Terrible
Pretty nice course but 75% of the greens were bald and bumpy
All and all a good course
The first few holes aren't the greatest. The greens are in need of some TLC. Yet once you get past the first par 3. It really gets better. For the price and the feeling you get driving up makes it a good place for beginners or amateurs looking for a fast fun new course.
Yikes...
This course used to be better but they have really let it get run down.. greens were terrible, putting through crab grass. Save your money and put it towards a tee time at windsor park or the valley course.
Name doesn't do it justice
Because it's in Ponte Vedra and Sawgrass I thought it would be fun to play. The course isn't very well maintained. Water and weeds everywhere. Putts are judged by how many weeds it rolls over. Fairways by how wet they are. Pass on this course if you can.
This course was in terrible condition.
Greens were in very poor condition. Sand traps were hard as cement. Areas around the greens were in terrible shape. Over al the course looked very neglected
