The Oak Bridge Club (formerly known as Ponte Vedra Golf & Country Club at Sawgrass) in the heart of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., sits adjacent to the famed Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. The 6,413-yard, par-70 Arnold Palmer design features water on every hole, tree-lined fairways and undulating greens. Oak Bridge favors accuracy and strategy over power and distance. New owners have upgraded the clubhouse and introduced a new restaurant, The 3 Palms Grille. A tennis center is home to 10 Har-Tru clay courts.

Much improved
Headed in the right direction!! Bunkers need some better sand but other than that it is really shaping up.
Great Value
I have played this course many times over the years and it is pretty good shape. There were a few bad spots on the greens but what course does not have some of that. It did not impact our play. For $30, it was a fun day on the course.
This Course is Improving
The course has improved over last year. They are taking to improve and it shows. Will be playing it more.
not busy so good for a quick 9 or 18
course needs attention. bunkers have very little
sand. greens not in good shape. people who
play are not considerate as they ride carts through
wet spots creating deep cuts in fairways and
rough.
Great course layout
The greens are in fair shape, but with a little more attention, they could be perfect. They roll good with a few bad spots. Tee boxes, fairways and roughs are all in good shape except where inconsiderate golfers drive their carts thru the wet areas.
Course is in much better shape than when we played in August
We had a great afternoon playing Ponte Vedra Country Club. The greens were in much better shape than in August, as well as the fairways. When play slowed the couple in front of us allowed us to play through and we finished in under 4 hours!!
Nicely Maintained
The course was very well maintained. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The beer/snack cart woman did an exceptional job. This was the first time I played a course and saw one make their rounds as many times as she did, which was very nice. The greens are well kept, as are the fairways, but the course has more water than any course I've played. Almost every hole seems to be built around water, which is something myself and the group I play with doesn't particularly enjoy. Overall, great course to play, and a friendly staff to to help. Would recommend this course to friends.
Terrible
It wasn't taken care of. The greens, sand traps were in bad shape. The rough and fringe around the greens had large amounts of grass clippings. I will not play here again and will not recommend this course to anyone.
Good Course - Gret Value
My son and I were looking for a Saturday morning round before settling in for college football. We were a little worried when we got to the course and they were backed up 1/2 hour and had no carts. The staff, however, did a great job turning carts around and getting us out. The course was not manicured by any stretch but nice enough. Fairways were good. Greens a little patchy and fuzzy. The place just needs a little attention to details...weeds in the cart paths and some shaggy areas that need trimming. The best thing about the day was that we were expecting rain and it held off for almost the entire round. Just a few showers late. For this rate, I will definitely be back.
Great layout great staff great experience
First and foremost the staff are great everyone has been great to deal with. The course itself has a phenomenal layout and very fun to play. It has a hood amount of variety in the kinds of shots that you can play throughout the round. The tee boxes were ok as were the greens but you can definitely tell where they were much worse earlier in the summer. The greens had been recently aerated so they were a little inconsistent but they are making a comeback for sure under the new superintendent . The fairways and rough were in excellent condition. Bunkers for the most part are in pretty good shape considering the amount of rain we have had the last month. Overall great course excellent staff and a good value for $30 or less to play a Arnie design.
Ponte Vedra Beach Cc
New green super has doe wonders with this courseGreens could be faster but they are much grassier then earlier this year. I would think they will be cut shorter tis fall
This course blows!
This golf course used to be in great condition with very fast, smooth greens. It's a complete joke now. There are weeds growing on some of the greens and most of the fairways. Some of the greens still have sandy patches in them. If you find anything resembling sand in a bunker, consider yourself lucky. Most bunkers are nothing more than crusted over hard pan. To describe the place in one word...PATHETIC!
Another golf course trying its best during difficult times.
Having read the uncomplimentary reviews of Ponte Vedra course we were expecting the worst. However, there was clear evidence that the course management had tried their best to maintain a playable course for their members and visitors. Greens were a bit "woolly" and slow and the fairways weren't the best in Florida but in our case we were delight with the warm welcome and still enjoyed a challenging game.
Good luck to Ponte Vedra as they try to maintain a course with less finances and players than in previous years. Hopefully this well defined course will recover in the not too distant future.
Fair value for the money
This course has so much potential, but needs a lot of attention to maintenance. Greens were very inconsistent. Fairways were weed prone and needed a good mowing. Looks like it has slipped over the years. Too bad. It could have some really great features.
PV COUNTRY CLUB AT SAWGRASS
No support on arrival. Small staff. Course unkempt and over-grown. There is the fairway and all else is crab-grass. Might have been nice at one time. Now really a cow pasture. Snack bar had bad food and bad service. Several orders wrong even with only a few clientele. No amenities. With condition of the course even discounted price not worth the value.
Has potential
Nice layout. Could be a very nice course if they put some money into it. Greens are pretty awful. Not much fun hitting a bunker on a green.
Fairways are okay. I guess if your not used to playing pro courses the best I could say is this course is nothing more than okay. A lot better places for same price
Why you gotta be so Rude!
The pace was great since it was a weekday not many players out. However, the greens were in poor condition, which we were not advised about by pro shop. How can you not have water stations on the course especially here in Florida, not even a cart coming around to sell water at least. When we made the turn we stopped in the club house to get something to drink and the service attendant at the bar was so rude and not very friendly. With all the other courses available this one will not be on the list again.
Highway Robbery
This course takes your money, gives you a cart and sends you to the cow pasture. Course is a combo of 2-day old mud, goose droppings, sand. Greens have random grass patches in it, you would think it was a chipping area. Cart boy was a complete donkey, followed us the last three holes because we were the last group. Clubhouse said carts in by 8, our cart was in by 7:45 but obviously that wasn't good enough for this cart boy. This was easily the worst golf course I ever played, do yourself a favor and JUST SAY NO, even for $15. I feel robbed, whole experience was complete trash. Absolute disgrace to the game of golf!!!
getting better, but...
The greens have improved, but that isn't saying much if you know what the greens were like! They're not dirt anymore, but there is significant repair work all over. The conditions are improving, but I graded them appropriately, they are fair and that is being generous because they are trending upward. Lots of humps and bumps from the repairs, ball will leave the ground putting often, which is not good. For 20 bucks, it is a nice layout so an OK value. I'd say 9-12 months of hard work and investing to get this place into acceptable condition, which would be awesome because it is a great layout as mentioned often in these reviews.
Swamp Golf with Backyard Greens
This is laike playing golf in a swamp. Literally. Lost multiple balls in the fairway due to muck conditions.
Greens are torn up hard and un-puttable really.
We played 20.00 per person and another 10.00 for range balls.
The range was nice and well kept, the course for a supposed country club just plain horrible.
Cart attendant at the end half cleaning clubs indicating he has change. What a hack .....
Do you think after a tip he would assit in putting two bags in the car, not only NO but he was gone after he got his tip. My fault.
Cheap Greens Fees but even at 20.00 per person not worth playing in a swamp. Greens are unplayable and should be closed.
Would not reccommend at all.
