Golf Club At Terra Lago - North Course
About
The Golf Club at Terra Lago boasts two 18-hole courses, the North and the South, that provide some of the most stunning and unique views of the Coachella Valley. Formerly known as Landmark Golf Club, it was home to the PGA Tour Skins Game from 1999 to 2002, which meant it has hosted a slew of big-name players including Greg Norman, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson. Terra Lago's North Course is the longer of the two at 7,060 yards, which is partly a reflection of the dramatic elevation changes that the golf course tumbles across. From the seventh tee box's lofty perch, you'll get a panoramic view from one end of the valley to the other, making it the golf course's most scenic hole. But it's most challenging is a daunting par 3 with an island green that was the featured hole during the Skins Games.

One and Done
Don’t bother. Horrible condition. Will not return.
Lack staff, fairways not in good shape , needs water and maintenance. Very confusing where to go and not clearly marked for holes. Starters disorganized
Fun but also tough
Our foursome was two Males and two females. Men played from the white tree and the women from the forward red tees. Everyone agreed that it was a fun and interesting round. They are doing some work and need better signs on cart paths to give directions to holes.
Lots of bunkers, but a lot need more sand.
Terra Lago Notth
Poor signage for course construction.
Pace of play wax brutal at 4:45
Played as twosome at 8am because the other twosome went off early. Sandwiched between multiple foursomes, waited on every shot.
No grass in fairways
Great layout but condition of fairways was terrible.. Rough was green and greens were ok but sand traps and fairways unplayable…
Review
Service was good as was the practice area. Construction made north course more inaccessible and very dusty with wind. Hole locations needed to be better marked. Course conditions were very average. Greens sandy and fairways bare in spots. Tee boxes were great and course layout was challenging but fair. Of course were in better shape it would be better value for price.
Disappointing experience.
Many desert courses let the rough go dormant and over seed the fairways. It appears Terra Lago did just the opposite.
Beautiful Day
Amazing course, incredible views, highly recommend
An interesting Experience
Where to start? at the beginning. Arrived for my tee time. Bag drop was closed. Parked and carried my bag to bag drop, only to see a sign apologizing for issues because of lack of staff. These signs were posted all over the clubhouse. Dining area was closed.
Staff all in all, were friendly enough, but always apologizing.
The course has a lot of construction going on throughout the course. As you drive through the parking lot, following the signs to the practice area, your cart is constantly beeping at you to alert you of an unauthorized area.
Leaving the practice area, you see a sign pointed to North one tee. You drive down that path and dead end in a construction zone.
Back to the Golf Shop to find the One North Tee is across another road, in a completely different direction.
after playing 9 it's back through the parking lot to the road that said was to one, bit actually goes to 10.
After 11 you go alongside a construction area.
You reach two holes off to your left. Again, no marking that one is 12, and the other 18.
Fairways were in OK shape at best.
The main grass was scalped to very thin grass. But, tufts of a different grass would grow to almost rough height throughout the course.
Played with a very nice couple, and pace was just over 4 hours, even though they indicated the course was full.
After the round, went to the golf shop, only to see a sign indicating they closed at 2:30
Not really what I expected for the price.
Where is the grass?
Starter was chippy, fairways were barren, they need to work on growing grass.
Tough
A well protected greens design make this a challenging course. Will play it again.
The signs for rerouteing to hole number 10 were terrible. 2 of us got lost and had to be lead by a member to the tee box. It is not that hard to make an effort to get a clear view of where a new golfer is going.
Poor Service
We arrived and we’re told to bring carts in at 4:30! Sun goes down at 5:10! No beverage cart. Burned out fairways and super hard and dry greens. Very unprofessional person in pro shop! Rude and abrupt! Not coming back!!
Difficult greens
Greens were hard to putt, ball tended to bounce, and a lot of the greens wrere sloped so if you hadn’t played it before , it was tough to know where to land ball on green
What a shame
We played this course 3 years ago and it was in really good shape. The clubhouse restaurant was good and the staff friendly and helpful. It was so disappointing to go and see how much the course had deteriorated and while we realize how covid has hit some places hard, the long list of rules and demands to get buggies back by 4.30pm , plus the unhelpful staff is unforgivable and really avoidable. Had the staff been nicer the overall experience may have been a little better. The pace of play was appalling at one point we had 4 groups on one hole and when we phoned the clubhouse to ask if we could play the front nine again at around 3pm we were simply told it was closed. Sadly we would not be going back to this club again there are so many better and friendlier clubs to visit!
