North at Los Serranos Golf & Country Club
About
Los Serranos Country Club boasts two championship golf courses, the North and South. The courses sprawl across 300 acres that are a part of the Don Lugo Spanish Land Grant. Both courses offer a different round from one another, allowing players of all skill levels to find something to their liking at Los Serranos. Los Serranos' North golf course is the shorter of the two measuring in at just under 6,700 yards but every course in southern California can make that claim since the South Course boasts the Jack's Black tees, which make it the area's longest course. The North Course was designed with all skill levels in mind. It is more player-friendly than the South but there are still challenges in store thanks to strategically placed Scottish-style bunkers and tight fairways bordered by rough.

Just ok
Had a 730 tee time for $45, used the birdie card and saved a few $. There was just 2 of us and the foursome in front offered to let us play thru without us having to ask. Man it's been a long time since I've seen that kind of courtesy. The design of the course gives you different looks which is nice but the rough and fringes had big patches of crab grass and burn. Bottom line, no complaining, you get what you pay for.
Great Pace
We went out on a Sunday as a twosome and completed our round in 3 hours 40 minutes!
Only passed one foursome and waited for two minutes on a par three. The USGA has solved the problem of slow play at Los Serranos!
Good course with a variety of hole layouts
LS North is a fun and fair course with plenty of challenging holes. Course condtion was good for summer as long as you were in the fairway. There is a lot of open space around the holes that is not maintained so if you are errant with a shot you may be playing off dirt or weeds.
Greens were in good shape and most sand traps were in good condition.
Very nice course
Very nice course. Only took around 4 hrs. to play. Never rushed.
much more character than south course.
This was mothers day so we flew through the course practically. I always play the north since I feel it calls for more shot shaping and that makes for a fun round.
Great value!
Played early afternoon. Pace was great. Conditions were good. Challenging course due to a variety of lies. Overall a great value, especially for the hot deal.
Proshop staff got us out in a jiffy
Both proshop staff and starter got us out playing very quickly. Great golf day
Decent course, iffy greens
Had a great time, but greens were slow and bumpy. Food was decent, but I don't recommend their Bloody Mary.
Course in great shape
I've played Los Serranos, primarily the North, numerous times over the past few years and found it to be in the best shape I've ever seen it. The greens are usually excellent, however, there have been a few that get beaten up. This time, even those normally beaten up were excellent. Fairways were green and in great shape as were the tee boxes. The out-of-the-way areas were as usual, sparse, lumpy, generally not cared for, however, they are way off the fairways and rough and you deserve those conditions if you land there. Always worth the $35-$45.
This course is very nice as a public course.
If the fairway and greens are upgraded, this course will be one of the best course because the course layout is so good. And also, the sight around the course is so nice.
Great Course
The only drawback was that the greens were aerated, which is necessary this time of year. Other than that a really nice course for a really nice price!
Course was extremely long
Course was extremely long I played here twice a month.
It is a very legitimate test of course management. The fairways are decent, as are the greens, which are not overly fast. My only complaint is the bunkers, which are more made of hard dirt rather than sand. For a course that places such an emphasis on bunkers, this is a problem, hence a star deduction.
Great course
Had a good time to challenge brother the best course near my home
I want to play again
This was the first time I have played here, the course can be challenging, but fun!
Almost a shot makers course, driver is not always the best choice, 3 wood or a long Iron works best. The only regret was no one told us the fairways and the greens have been aerated. In a week or two this will be a fun place to play again. Wonder if they will offer the $16.00 dollar deal we got?
Bunker City!
Played the North course. Lots of challenging bunkers in play both green side and in the fairways. My first time at Los Sorrentos, I'd wanted to play it for a while and finally got there, had a great round and will definately be back, have to try the South course now.
Course in good shape
Didn't enjoy playing behind 4 walkers made for a long round
this course has character of its own
Would be much better if they don't allow 5-somes. The pace of play sooooo slow just about 6 hours when I played.
Greens were good, rolled pretty true. Grass on the fairway was mixed.
Overall the course played well and is in much better shape than previous rounds.
Always a challenging course to play
North or South, both courses have always fun courses to play.
I would reccomend them to players of all levels. Staff very friendly, from pro shop to snack shop lady. Sand traps have "Real Sand" in them too.
Definitely worth the money.
Pace of Play
It is hard to complete a round in under 5 hours when you have 5 somes in front of you.
