About
Redhawk Golf Club is one of California's 10 best public courses. Located on the outskirts of San Diego in Temecula, the course is home to one of the southern California's only island greens. The layout is challenging no matter what your skill level but it is still immensely enjoyable. The golf course features dramatic elevation changes, narrows fairways that demand accuracy, and multi-tiered greens that are well conditioned. There is ample water on the course but its use feels natural rather than arbitrary. The numerous strategically placed bunkers are equally as challenging, if not more so than the water hazards. Every club in the bag will see some use at Redhawk Golf Club. From the elevated tees, golfers can enjoy views of the surrounding vineyards for some scenic respite from this formidable test.

Good course has great potential!
Fairways were in moderate condition with large patches of dead, clover filled, or overwatered areas. Golf carts need a major upgrade and gps or better yard markers in the fairways. If they upped the prices for one season and hired some really good greens keepers this place could be a 5 star course!
Great Course Bad Game
Unfortunately I did not show up with my A game. I found the greens set up for a Pro, very difficult to get the ball in the cup. The other guys had the same problem. But will play there again!!

A course with this sort of prestige should be in better shape. Totally disrespectful to its reputation. While players are responsible for courtesy when repairing ball marks on greens, which I saw little of, maintenance was lacking in several areas. Mainly, leaves around approach areas around greens! Losing $4-5 balls is BS in low rough because of leaves.

Fariways are terrible.
I've played here multiple times, and the fairways are DEAD! I don't understand how the tee boxes and greens are great but someone missed taking care of the fairways. Its going to be awhile before I come back.

the course is in pretty good shape. a constant challenge due to creek water in the cahyon. great layout and greens are fair. some minor repairs needed and i think some rowdy players do stupid thibgs like shattering tee markers. but overall, it is very nice.
It was pretty simple we showed up and it was cartpath only yet we paid full price which I think was over $85. The pace of play it was so slow that we started at around noon and did not finish before dark which was ridiculous. The fairways were mostly muddy and brown and the pace of play was so so slow 3 groups were on the t-box. Then the restaurant was closed when we finished and couldn’t even have a drink. I have golfed there at least 20 times and conditions very but $85 for such poor condition is a rip off and you deserve a poor review and I deserve a refund. Sorry you asked.

Not A Good Day At Redhawk
We had high hopes but were very disappointed. We found out on arrival that a Jr. Girls Tourney was playing and teeing off in front of us. First nine holes took 3 hours. After six hours we left the course with two holes to play due to darkness and we started at 11:20 am. The course has potential but it was in horrible shape - muddy, unkept, poor greens, etc. We had more unable playable lies in the fairway than we could count. I would love to play again, but the course needs a lot of work.
