Redhawk Golf Club

About
Redhawk Golf Club is one of California's 10 best public courses. Located on the outskirts of San Diego in Temecula, the course is home to one of the southern California's only island greens. The layout is challenging no matter what your skill level but it is still immensely enjoyable. The golf course features dramatic elevation changes, narrows fairways that demand accuracy, and multi-tiered greens that are well conditioned. There is ample water on the course but its use feels natural rather than arbitrary. The numerous strategically placed bunkers are equally as challenging, if not more so than the water hazards. Every club in the bag will see some use at Redhawk Golf Club. From the elevated tees, golfers can enjoy views of the surrounding vineyards for some scenic respite from this formidable test.

Loved Redhawk!
First time golfing at Redhawk and was thoroughly impressed.
The course is challenging and has unique holes. Very interesting course. Redhawk is an excellent track and great value for your money.
Staff were most friendly and helpful!
Loved it and can’t wait to play it again.
Great day at Redhawk
Staff are very inviting and courteous
Course was in great shape overall, a bit wet and muddy in areas. Greens were really good, fast and true. Played in just under 4 hours so pace of play was excellent. Will absolutely return, thanks..
Relaxing time of golf
Another enjoyable round of golf at Redhawk. Pace of play was great and greens were in perfect condition.
Not bad for best deal rate
Every thing is good but only some greens are still in aerifertication with hole marks. And the directions for some holes are not obvious so that we got lost for the first playing in this course.
Beautiful!
Enjoyed playing at this beautiful course! I’m looking forward to going back, despite my 90 minute drive to get there.
Irrigation issues?
Redhawk is a narrow-ish course nestled within a neighborhood in Temecula. It has massive greens and picturesque par 3s. Multiple putting areas, a driving range and restaurant. It is probably a destination course for locals.
On the day we played there were MANY ground under repair areas and muddy areas in and around the greens. Several times when walking back to my cart I almost slipped/got tons of mud on my spikes. The greens had been aerated but it really didn’t affect putts too much. Fairways were average at best. For the price point ($110 on a weekend) I guess I expected more. This place has TONs of potential and is close to being good to great
Aerified greens, but still fair to play
Course was well maintained. Course design is varied with some challenging holes. Although the greens were recently aerified, it did not disturb putting that much.
Nice day
Had a few guests from Toronto here for a golf trip. Great course. Greens were punched so we invoked the 2-putt rule. Everything else was great. Great day.
Sandy, but still quick!
I enjoyed this course, even though the greens were recently punched and sanded… the track is beautiful and the greens will look great once the heal up.. The staff was friendly, I was a little tee’d that the starter let 2 or 3 two some start behind us, but other than that is was all good!
Oct maintenance
Seeding, aeration the whole course is a welcomed expected sight during this time.
It means people care about the course. The course is responding nicely.
I didn’t care to see maintenance tire marks in area’s that had been soaked because of seeding. I tried to do some repair work leveling the area’s. Workers should take pride and clean up areas like that if they notice them.
Great course, I always enjoy Redhawk………
Perfect Monday golf
Played with three of my friends on a slow Monday afternoon. The weather was perfect and the course was perfect except they had all greens aerification done. The staff at the pro shop was courteous. The staff at the clubhouse, the Grill, was so friendly and accommodating. The food was all delicious and reasonably priced. The course layout was wonderful and the landscape is beautiful. Very well maintained. The pace of play was excellent! .We all enjoyed the day and will return soon. Thank you!
GOOD FOR MAINTENANCE SEASON
Had a chance to play Redhawk on A Sunday at a 1250 tee time. Ended up starting a little later due to a couple groups in front of us that were playing slower than usual. With the course going into mating season, the rough played longer than usual and the greens were aerated that day. The only real ding that exists on the course condition side would have to be the bunkers, which were either hard packed or had rocks and stones that could potentially ding up your clubs.
Despite typical crowd control and fall to winter conditions that are common this time of year, the round was very enjoyable! It's a challenging layout for any set of teas, but especially for people playing from the golds as some tee boxes have a few overhanging branches that demand you to get creative with making your shot off the Tee Box.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The driving range is nothing over the top but does it's job in helping a golfer prepare for their round along with several putting green complexes to help golfers practice different facets of the short grass they'll encounter in the round to come. I would definitely recommend and look forward to playing again sometime when it is in ideal conditions.
Great conditions
First time playing this course. Greens were punched, but it still rolled pretty well. Couldn’t imagine what these greens run at when in peak condition. Layout is pretty tough with danger everywhere. Definitely want to return to play it now that I have a better understanding of the course.
