Wish they would put some money into this place
Once you get on the green, the course is fine, but the fairways are half grass and a half dirt. There’s no consistency in the rough, but what’s the toughest thing is pretty much every green is domed so it’s all but impossible to hit greens in regulation. If you can get a hot deal to play for less than 30 bucks, then it’s worth it but any more than that I would much rather play double to play either of the courses 10 minutes south.
Napa Was Awesome but....
We booked a tee time for Sunday. Staff at check in was super friendly and professional. The lady behind the bar was very nice and made a mean Jack and coke. Course was great. First time there and for the price I dont think ive seen better. NOW! I am usually not one to complain but there was a group of 6 playing in front and were beginners and held up alot of people. Groups were playing ahead and we had a 2 some join us. Almost dark hittin 18th. 5 hours to play. If it wasnt for everything else being amazing I would have not been as nice on this review. Cant wait to go again and keep the pace of play normal.
Don’t bother
The course was in bad shape and was still charged full price. Course conditions were sloppy, lots of standing water, small lakes and lots of mud on the fairways. The 9th hole was a par 4 but the fairway was soaked and muddy they made it a 90 yard par 3! We lost so many balls in the fairway due to the standing water and 6” + deep rough.
Attractive layout
Greens were in top shape. Fairways had some significant condition issues. Lack of course monitoring resulted in chaotic play, with groups not following the correct hole sequence, and very slow play on the back nine.
Slow Play
Course allowed 12 golfers to run their own tournament. 3 foursomes stopped to take group picture on the 10th tee. They held up play with sunset approaching.
Great day of golf
Great course layout. Public course value shows. Couple patchy areas dry grass and very unforgiving roughs. Water stations were not there or empty water jugs.
