About
The Crooked Cat Course is one of two 18-hole regulation courses at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. The facility is also home to a nine-hole executive course. The Crooked Cat Course is a challenge with dramatic elevation changes and rolling fairways that are framed with mounding. The golf course has a links-style design with large, contoured greens and wide landing areas. Water hazards and several bunkers come into play throughout. There are also trees and native heather present on the course for a naturally beautiful atmosphere. Orange County National's Crooked Cat Course is favored among low handicappers due to its length and difficulty.

Great layout
Love the course. Well maintained but I wish more golfers would fill their divots!
Great Course and Golf Complex
Just an overall great course and golf complex. The driving range is insane and mind blowing when you first see it. Would recommend this course to anyone looking for a nice challenge. Playing at Panther Lake this weekend for the first time and excited for another great round.

needs some attention
This course has been maintained better than the condition it is in currently. The tee boxes were pretty chewed up and there are bare spots in the fairways. The greens were still in decent condition.

12 holes in 4+ hours
I have no idea why OCN booked so many tee times yesterday. The pace of play was absurd. The cart girl told me they had 250 players currently on the two courses. My son and I called it quits after 4 hours and only 12 holes of play. No rangers on the course. Nobody apologized. Just a terrible experience all around.

Still One of the Best inthe Area
Despite the recent dry period and the effects it has had on courses in this area, this is the best one that I have played this week. The greens are recovering nicely from aeration - other courses are way behind in this respect,- and they have a true roll on them, not overly quickl but a nice pace.
This course provides you with a good test of golf, and it is great to play on a course used by top professionals in the world!
The pace of play was the best of my week, and I am never disappointed here, even if the conditions are not as perfect as in December or January.
I shall definitely put this course on top of my list when I next return

Fairways are . . . how you say? Bad.
The fairways are bad . . . like really bad. You don't expect to see that at a place this OCN. It's not right that you're better off playing out of the second cut or even the rough to get a good lie.
There were several holes where I found myself moving the ball 10-12 feet just to find a decent lie . . . in the FAIRWAY of all places.
Greens are totally fine. They were just top dressed with sand, but still had a nice speed and roll to them.

You think a course that just hosted the pros would look better
Course was in decent condition but there's wayyyy too many spots where there's no fairway grass. No one wants to smash a 275-300 yard drive down the middle only to find out they have to hit off of dirt or sand...Greens were okay, and I imagine they're much better when they're not freshly aerated so I will withhold judgment on those. But you got to do something about those burnt fairway spots

Excellent
Loved playing this course especially the back nine. Under 3.5 hour round as well! Course was difficult but fair if playing well! Everything in perfect condition too! Will be back!

Interesting course!
Fun and challenging course. Not in tournament shape as you would expect for the cost. It was a interesting round. Def not country clubs vibes or that type of maintenance. More of a golf mill that caters to tourist golfers. Catch a hot deal and book a round. That’s the value for your buck play!

Need to do better.
For the money this course needs to do better. To be allegedly one of the best courses in the country or the state they need to step it up a bunch. Fairways, tee boxes, and greens all in bad shape. I don’t need it to be PGA tour qualify. But it should look better than it did. They also over booked the course. Before we started they said they were 6 minutes behind. My tee time was 12:27, I walk off the course with out stopping at the turn at 5:30. Not sure if I will come back. They need to do better.

Great staff
Course was in good shape. Greens rolled nicely. Best part was Amrut the starter/marshal keeping everyone on pace. Love it! Can’t wait to go back again!

Greens are healing, but a great track
Love me some OCN. Usual weekend slow play (5:00 round)... greens were bumpy but the rest of the course was in great shape. We got paired with 2 others and had a great time. Great staff, range, service as always. I'll be back soon.

Beautiful course
I enjoyed this course. Great maintenance on the fairways and the greens were perfect. They do a great job manicuring this place. Pro shop guys were nice.
