Crooked Cat at Orange County National

Greens are in great shape, rest of course in very poor shape. 2 weeks before LIV and weeds everywhere in fairways, bare spots around greens, to name a few.

Great place for us mere mortals, had higher expectations.

One of the best courses I've played for a while. Found it difficult from the orange tees especially the par 3s. 1 birdie. Shot 82. Pricey.

Course was cart path only due to pending LIV tournament. Knew it coming before reservation set. Staff inside and outside friendly. Had lunch after. Bartenders also friendly and accommodating. Liked the layout. Tough playing new course cart path only.

A windy day and a challenging layout led to a difficult day at Crooked Cat. But the course was in great shape (as they prepare to host a LIV event in March) and the views were amazing. I would definitely play it again (as well as the other 18 which looked like it might be even more fun) although I'd like to take a crack at it on a less windy day.

Nice to play, good fairways e nice greens, challenging and in good conditions. I will return again.

5+ hour round. Cart path only for march 2023. Preparing for LIV golf tourney.

30 min delay to start round along with a 6 hour round dew to pace of play. Greens were OK. Bunkers less than average fairways. Pretty good rough in around the green below average.

I really wanted to like this course and was excited to play as LIV will be there at the end of March but the course fell short. For starters, they have newer carts, the bag drop off guys were great as well as the pro shop guys/gals. The starter was a different story. He said the front was playing 11 minutes behind and to expect some slow play, no biggie, His co-worker then met us at the 8th green stating we were 37 min behind pace and need to pickup the pace. To be fair, he talked to the group ahead and behind us as well. The same guy showed up on the 11th tee box tp push us but once he saw the two groups ahead of us in the fairway and on the green, he didn't say anything else to us but had attitude. With respect to the course, the greens were quick but had a lot of poa in the greens which caused many putts to go offline as a result. Did not expect this at all! Bunkers had adequate sand, but the rough wasn't really rough. It was like fairway then very thinned out Bermuda serving as rough, no defined cuts at all. Overall I was disappointed at the course conditions, especially since a LIV event was 3 weeks away, expecting a little bit more for the price paid. I played Disney Palm course the next day, $65.00 cheaper and this course was far superior that the CAT.

Best greens we have played on. Course is getting ready for the LIV. Bunkers were in great shape.

1st time on CC and it didn't disappoint. Play was a little slow on front 9, better on back. Course was in great shape and greens were firm and fast.

Everything you could ask for in a round of golf, great conditions, great layout and great staff.

How does the saying go? Fool me 3 times?!!

Having left after a 3 hour front nine the time before last, then ploughing through a 5.5 hour round last time out, I was certain I wouldn't come back...however, the lure of the apparent "excellent conditions" following the PGA show and injection of cash for the upcoming LIV event was just too great to pass up. Very underwhelmed indeed!!

The course is no different from it's normal conditions here - still good, but nothing that looks or feels like it's on the verge of hosting a pro event.

For a 3rd time running though, my round was >5 hours - it's almost comical at this point - and that was with a ranger on course that said 3x he was moving groups along - not the case!

For sure, I won't be back. This facility is best left for the out of towners that they clearly know they don't need to cater to.

Great golf course and awesome facilities and we booked at an excellent price. It’s a bonus that they are preparing for a PGA event … the course is in outstanding condition. Super fast greens.

Nice track - needs a lot of water and TLC - greens were great and some of the bunkers had new sand which was much nicer than the old sand. Overall it’s a good track, just needs a lot of water and fertilizer.

Everything about the course was great, conditions, staff friendliness, pace of play, layout was good but for the late price not super visually stunning to look at. 100% if you can get a deal or a replay rate go play it, I wouldn't pay full price for it, but I also can't imagine paying that much to play anywhere so take it with a grain of salt.
