About

The Crooked Cat Course is one of two 18-hole regulation courses at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. The facility is also home to a nine-hole executive course. The Crooked Cat Course is a challenge with dramatic elevation changes and rolling fairways that are framed with mounding. The golf course has a links-style design with large, contoured greens and wide landing areas. Water hazards and several bunkers come into play throughout. There are also trees and native heather present on the course for a naturally beautiful atmosphere. Orange County National's Crooked Cat Course is favored among low handicappers due to its length and difficulty.

Wet conditions but Good Round

Rain on and off, but holes didn’t even require cart path only rules. Course drainage was extremely good. Made for a quick 18 with no slow play in front.

Great Course to play

We are 4 friends on a golf trip. 3 of us are playing competition golf regularly, 1 of us is more of a "enjoy the day" type of player. Overall, we we're satisfied with our day there. Course was in good shape. Greens were ok, they were filled with sand in the days prior to our visit and there was still some sand accumulation left in some spots. Normal for greens care at this time of the year but wished we were informed prior to booking. Would definitely play again. A little bit more expensive than other courses we played during the week with the same type of conditions/championship layout. Staff was great.

Ridiculous and Fun !!!!!

Played Panther and the conditions are amazing. Fairways are great ! Tee Boxes awesome! The greens are "Wicked" awesome ! Running great !!! and true.

take advantage now !!!! Book a round place is great. RE: FOOD - Steak and cheese is good.... cart girls are great!!!! range is great also. Cart guys are super attentive !!! Bobby, Chad, and Seth are awesome ! Will take good care of you!!!!!

The Past Haunts the Present

For a course that has hosted the PGA Q-school, a Korn Ferry tour stop, and multiple state-wide tournaments, Crooked Cat was a bit of a disappointment. Having played here many times in the past, the course conditions were not up to the superior standards of my past experiences. However, it is only fair to note those past experiences have spoiled me and may have caused my current expectations to be a little unreasonable given the recent FL weather patterns while I was up north. So, overall, I would say the course is in good, but not great, condition with the greens rolling true and at a decent speed. The tees, for the most part, are in good shape with a a few suffering some sparse growth. Bunkers are consistent and well maintained. As for the rough, it is fair and not intimidating. My main criticism is that the fairways are unusually thin with some bare spots, especially the first hole. Even so, the Cat is a solid track worthy of recommendation and well worth the current reasonable fees.

Slow play

Breezed through first 7 holes in under an hour, then next 7 took over 2hrs, gave up and left. A round should not take over 3hrs, not one ranger seen all day.
