The Crooked Cat Course is one of two 18-hole regulation courses at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. The facility is also home to a nine-hole executive course. The Crooked Cat Course is a challenge with dramatic elevation changes and rolling fairways that are framed with mounding. The golf course has a links-style design with large, contoured greens and wide landing areas. Water hazards and several bunkers come into play throughout. There are also trees and native heather present on the course for a naturally beautiful atmosphere. Orange County National's Crooked Cat Course is favored among low handicappers due to its length and difficulty.

Crooked Cat is always a pleasure

Not much to say other than up to the usual standards. Greens are well paced without being uncontrollable. Course drains well so no residual issues on course from Ian. The roads inbound were affected so you will have to enter thru the residential community entrance on the back of the property.

Rider Fees!!

First of all Crooked Cat is a great course in wonderful condition - this cannot be disputed. However this round was booked as a gift to a friend for his 50th birthday. Unsurprisingly he brought along his fiancé to enjoy the experience but we were charged a rider fee for her as a non player of $26. Given that we were a three-ball and nobody else had booked to play at our tee time I find this appalling. I will not return as there are plenty more clubs in central Florida that are friendlier and less keen to rip-off the golfing public.

Crooked Cat weathered the hurricane quite well and there was little evidence of the storm’s impact. The greens were running quick and true. Fairways and roughs were in good shape as were the tees. As always, the staff was friendly and helpful!

Best in the area!

I enjoy playing Crooked Cat. The staff do their best to maintain the course. To me that's most important when choosing where to play. Most other courses in the area (Central Florida) charge a large fee to play a course not fit for a Cow. Please just show us residents you're trying to improve the course and we'll support you. If not, we'll let you die out to the money hungry housing beast eating up the rest of Florida's golf world like so many others have already.

Unable to finish due to ridiculous slow play. 1 member left after 9 ,2 left after 11 and I left after 12 where there were 4 groups on the hole. Marshall was aware because after a few holes and we were already behind over 30 minutes, he said he spoke to the large group of guys that were playing exceptionally slow already. He never showed up again. If I didn’t leave likely would have been in 6 hour plus easily. A course this great should have insisted a group that big play at a pace that wouldn’t ruin the round of every other paying group behind them. They should have been made to skip holes or leave the course to allow others like myself who looked so forward to playing such a great course. All we got were apologies from staff when we drove in and complained. A complimentary round should have been offered because the staff was at fault for permitting this tragedy to happen
