Crooked Cat at Orange County National

I typically play Orange County National twice a week. Often practicing my short game on the Tooth course and then a full round of 18 holes on either Panther Lake or Crooked Cat. The courses are always in great condition and the staff and grounds crew are A-1. Highly recommended.

Played on a mid-summer afternoon/evening, so hot and humid. Late in the day so no cart person. But the course was in excellent shape, as always, and it remains another excellent layout in the Central Florida golf scene

Very strict on pace of play. Our group of 4 were all relatively new golfers, so we were behind pace. Luckily we were on a “slow” time of day, but we had staff come up to us and asked us to speed it up.

Even with the greens punched this course was great! Enjoyed the fabulous Fairways and greens were terrific. Nice job to the 19th hole! Great food people drinks! AAA +++

First time playing and walked off with a 97, and with a smile on my face. First off, it’s kept immaculately. The course is designed to be challenging and temp you into some fun shots. I’m a about an 18 handicap, give or take over time, and this place is just a big bunch of fun. It gives you the chance to hit some bad shots and still get creative to make them up. It’s definitely challenging, make no mistake, but it’s not disheartening when you hit a bum shot. Pace of play was right on, so can’t complain there. The Starter was a grouch, but hey, I probably would be too if I was out in Florida heat at 65+ years dealing with a bunch of smart Alec golfers. Anyway, great course, very fun and challenging. Hit ‘em straight y’all!!

Superb course and layout. A challenge for all golfers and a real hidden gem in Orlando away from all the hustle and bustle. Staff could not have been more welcoming.

First time playing the Cat. Very enjoyable round. Good layout and conditions. Found the greens to be a little inconsistent from a speed perspective but that could have been me. A little difficult finding a ball just off the fairway many times. Course is just as good as Panther.

This course is amazing. Everything in great condition - the rough was just that and would often cost you a stroke

The layout really makes you think what club you want to use. The par 3s were a really challenge I was surprised by amount of undulation on the course (FL is flat!) which added to the interest

I will certainly be looking for a good deal to get back here (as normal rates are a little high)

It is always a pleasure to play at Orange County national. Their staff is on the ball and always treat you right. The facilities are top notch and getting some ice and water in your cart is an added bonus. We played early so the pace was great but they always have Rangers out there moving people along. The layout of both courses are amazing and you can pick which tees provide the best challenge. The greens were in great shape and while there were a few patches that need work on the course, their crews where there adding new sod.

Get there as early as you can as their practice facilities are some of the best in all of Florida.

5 hour to play. The front group even left beer and fireball bottles in the tees...no even one Marshall in the entire course....also the fairways and greens don't look the way is used to be.

I didn’t score as well as I would like but this course is absolutely fabulous and in great condition I’d recommend it to anyone

We played Crooked Cat. The course is in excellent shape. The layout is interesting and appealing. Each hole has a unique element which keeps you interested and on your toes.

Course is in great shape. Played from green tees in tough humidity and barely any wind. Greens have fully recovered from aeration and are playing very true. Early tee time and crew was mowing on the front. Rough is penal and can create challenging approach shots.

The rough in some spots is deep and can be tough to get out of for weekend hackers.

It’s four years since I last played here and whilst I thoroughly enjoyed being back here things weren’t quite as good as I’ve found them in the past. Overall staff brilliant, food excellent, starter and course staff friendly - greens tremendous. One truly annoying thing is we had a four ball in front who really shouldn’t have been on a course this tough. I guess it’s great to be alive and have the chance to play so get down and give OCN a go.
