About

The Crooked Cat Course is one of two 18-hole regulation courses at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. The facility is also home to a nine-hole executive course. The Crooked Cat Course is a challenge with dramatic elevation changes and rolling fairways that are framed with mounding. The golf course has a links-style design with large, contoured greens and wide landing areas. Water hazards and several bunkers come into play throughout. There are also trees and native heather present on the course for a naturally beautiful atmosphere. Orange County National's Crooked Cat Course is favored among low handicappers due to its length and difficulty.

Course conditions were good. Practice green has much different slopes bur same speed as course. No apparent effort to speed play from hole 3 on.

Always Terrific

Full disclosure, I have a bias for Crooked Cat as it has long been one of my favorite layouts in the area. However, that bias is well deserved as OCN always maintains BOTH its courses in superb condition. This round was no exception. The greens were quick and firm which is as they should be for a true test of your iron play and short game. Fairways had a reasonable amount of grass and consistently provided good lies. The rough was certainly not unfair and, if anything, may have been a bit too easy. Anyway, I had an entirely enjoyable round as a single paired with two other great playing partners. If you come to Orlando, I heartily recommend Crooked Cat as a “must play” course!

Low handicap from Michigan

Outstanding course. Very forgiving off the tee, but challenging 2nd shots. Greens were perfect, running very true and not too fast. Not much break in the greens. I enjoyed playing here immensely. Would highly recommend among the Orlando courses

The course is in very good shape. The greens were running a little faster than expected as there apparently was a tournament there earlier in the week.
