The Crooked Cat Course is one of two 18-hole regulation courses at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. The facility is also home to a nine-hole executive course. The Crooked Cat Course is a challenge with dramatic elevation changes and rolling fairways that are framed with mounding. The golf course has a links-style design with large, contoured greens and wide landing areas. Water hazards and several bunkers come into play throughout. There are also trees and native heather present on the course for a naturally beautiful atmosphere. Orange County National's Crooked Cat Course is favored among low handicappers due to its length and difficulty.

What’s Happened to This Course

OCN was the premier golfing location in Central Florida. Lately the course has gone to crap. No one at the bag drop, or at the cart return at the end of the round. A huge hydraulic leak across the middle of the 1st green just started the day. Fix the course before you turn into a Stoneybrook or Metrowest.

Course was in pretty good shape today. Greens were rolling pretty good, they were a little wet. We started off behind what we thought was a five some but ended up being a twosome with a caddy per player. It took them a while to let us finally play through them but once we did we flew by. Three of us finished the round in three hours! Can’t beat that.

We apparently caught the course in transition to summer. The greens were pretty sandy but putted fine. Fairways had lots of sparse places and some of the tees were in bad shape. Bunkers were good. Pace of play very good. Drink cart around a few times. One of my favorites. I’ve seen it in better shape. Still good but not at its best.

Played crooked cat for 100’th time. Love the track but the corse conditions are not where they traditionally are here. Tee boxes have hardly any grass. Fairways are sparse in many places. I am sure rain is needed. But irrigation would help. Disappointed in the conditions. Needs work before hottest months come. Could spell trouble for course. Greens were great as always. Looks like overawed died before Bermuda grass could establish its self.

One of My Favorites in Orlando Area

Orange County National has so much to offer on it's 2 regulation courses. I prefer Panther Lake but there were no available tee times. Crooked Cat is much more open but still very challenging. The holes were very well designed to make each unique despite the wide open format. The staff are all very professional and friendly. The pace of play was excellent (just under 3 3/4 hours). If you want a consistently very good experience, you can always rely on OCN.

I come to Orlando yearly and this was always my favorite course to play. This year the course was in horrible shape. Dry and dirt filled fairways and greens were in poor condition which made me compare this to your average public course. For the price it should be in much better conditions. Very disappointed.
