Northdale Golf & Tennis Club remains one of the premier Tampa golf courses because of its affordable play, its use of water on 11 of 18 holes, bunkers, rolling undulations and contoured greens that really challenge players. Just 12 miles north of Tampa International Airport, this is a neighborhood golf course with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of your day. Renowned golf course architect Ron Garl designed the par 72, 6824-yard championship golf course. Northdale Golf & Tennis Club winds its way through 180 plus acres of property that is home to Brushy Creek and a series of small lakes and unspoiled wooded areas.

Cart path
The play was a good speed, gorgeous day, course was fast. But again I know it’s an expensive venture but the cart paths are really bad
But I will be back for sure
Skip this one
Greens fast if you miss the weeds. Sand not raked hard no raked in places. Fairways bald except weeds abd occasional clover
Greens are solid roll at around 11… everything else on the front is pretty rough but it’s winter back 9 is solid
Greens are in terrible shape
Greens are in terrible shape. One of the things that was stressed on the website is how great their greens are, but they were in terrible shape and have been sanded recently. The fairways had a lot of rough patches. The bunkers were hard as concrete but that might have been because of the rain. The golfers in front of us didn’t ever rake the traps so there were a lot of footprints as well and no ranger to keep the pace of play. There is no driving range- just a net to hit your own balls into and collect them with three spots to hit from. Overall it was very disappointing.
Friendly Staff
We were on vacation and rented clubs . The very friendly staff set my son and I up with sets of clubs, and got us to the first tee without incident. The waitstaff was warm and friendly and helped to make our first experience at this course a great one!
Poor conditions
Needs attention. Tee boxes have little to no grass, with tree roots exposed on some boxes. Fairways are soggy, yet no rain recently that I’m aware. Greens are full of ball marks and some have dead spots. It has potential.
Great value
This course has had its ups and downs over the years but it now is in fairly good shape with quickish greens. Fairways are sparse in spots but improving. Some fairways have been narrowed, a good improvement. Great bang for the buck.
Northdale Golf good winter conditions
Nice conditions this time of year. Summer conditions on this course is less desirable, because the drainage is not very good during the rainy season. It’s a long course and it is laid out well, greens are in good condition, but they are sloped.
Pace of play
I’m sure it’s not always like that but I played a 6 hour round, estimating 15 min waiting at each tee box.
