About
Northdale Golf & Tennis Club remains one of the premier Tampa golf courses because of its affordable play, its use of water on 11 of 18 holes, bunkers, rolling undulations and contoured greens that really challenge players. Just 12 miles north of Tampa International Airport, this is a neighborhood golf course with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of your day. Renowned golf course architect Ron Garl designed the par 72, 6824-yard championship golf course. Northdale Golf & Tennis Club winds its way through 180 plus acres of property that is home to Brushy Creek and a series of small lakes and unspoiled wooded areas.

Pace of play
I’m sure it’s not always like that but I played a 6 hour round, estimating 15 min waiting at each tee box.
Good times
This course is always a good time and in above average condition. Love playing here. Only negative thing to say is the pace, but that’s expected.
Young kids and slow seniors with no etiquette for the game
Worst experience playing today, young high school aged kids in a 5 some driving all over the greens and slowing the pace down on each hole chit chatting and goofing around. Had to pass them because they had no etiquette or knowledge of having a single behind a group as large as theirs to let me play through. Same goes for the next foursome of older gentleman that also played awfully and thought they were on tour removing the pin at every green and dropping a second ball in the fairway because they shanked the first ball into someone’s yard or home. again they wouldn’t let me play through as anyone that’s played the game long as they have being the age they were knows to do. No respect or etiquette displayed today. Also the grounds were being worked on in the middle of play. I had the sprinklers come on at the 8th hole and soaked my cart. What course does that on such a busy Beautiful day? Awful awful experience and it falls on management or lack there of I should say. I’ve played northdale numerous numerous times and it’s my home course. By for the worst play ever. Will be giving my time and business to nicer courses near by. Will be spreading the word to other fellow golfers not to waste their time or money here until changes are made…….
Nice layout but
Silverthorn has a nice layout and the staff is friendly and helpful but the fairways are in poor condition. Some of the greens are in good shape others not so much..The price is very reasonable but the course needs work.
Too Many Twosomes
Enjoyed the course, greens were very quick but consistent from green to green. Starter needs to join groups, although we joined another twosome on our own, they ended their round after 9 holes. Starting on 10 we played behind 6 groups of two, brutal. The starter instead of joining groups, send twosomes out on both sides to try and keep pace.
5hr Round. Good Course, Not Good Starter Management
We enjoyed the course, greens were fast and held approach shots. The Starter refused to make foursomes, kept sending out 2-somes. He even offered us to start on 10 because there were 3 twosomes ahead of us on 1. We went to 10 and found 4 twosomes waiting. We went back to 1 and asked to join a twosome. The guys we joined were great and they started on 10 and finished on 9. When we started the back we found 6 twosomes on the back ahead of us, it's where they started,#10, instead of #1..what a mess, 5 hr round.
Nice Sunday at the Golf Course
The Greens were really good, quick.
The starter was very friendly and accommodating!
Long course, even from the white tees, enjoyable.
