Northdale Golf Club
About
Northdale Golf & Tennis Club remains one of the premier Tampa golf courses because of its affordable play, its use of water on 11 of 18 holes, bunkers, rolling undulations and contoured greens that really challenge players. Just 12 miles north of Tampa International Airport, this is a neighborhood golf course with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of your day. Renowned golf course architect Ron Garl designed the par 72, 6824-yard championship golf course. Northdale Golf & Tennis Club winds its way through 180 plus acres of property that is home to Brushy Creek and a series of small lakes and unspoiled wooded areas.

Much Improved
I have lived in the Northdale area for the past 30 years and have played the golf course many times, but have not played in the past 4 years, as the course was in terrible shape. I was pleasantly surprised by the improved conditions. Besides the green conditions on #1, which have always been a problem, every other green was excellent!
There is still more work to be done with the cart paths, wooden bridges, etc..., but it's nice to see it coming back. Keep it up!
I will be playing again soon!
Convenient course for me
I live fairly close to the course (1-1/2 miles), so I really appreciate the close proximity. Considering the dry weather conditions, the course was in pretty good shape. Some greens did have some very rough areas, but they are clearly playable. This is a great course for me!
Course condition
Unfortunately, the greens were a bit of a mess and pace of play was slow!
Average Course
I think for the money spent it wasn't great. Has great potential but the greens were in horrible condition. If they clean those up then it can be one of the best in tampa.
Guy in Pro Shop was not nice, but everyone else, Ranger's Starter's and Bartender's were all pleasant.
Close Convenient Course
Played the course at 2:00 and Tgs rate of play was very good. The course was in pretty good shape, although it has been dry. Some greens were challenging.

Greens acceptable
First time i have played at Northdale in many years.
I was truly shocked, not in a good way.
The staff person was very nice.
The traps were dirt.
The Carts are old.
They have a long way to go on the rebuild .
The place is suitable to practice .I hope the rebuild can restore this fun layout.
I will come back in a year.
It's in good condition this year.
Other than the 1st green, all greens are in good shape. Additionally, the course generally is in decent condition. For your money this place provides great value.
Northdale on the Decline again
Despite much improvements on greens, fringe and fairways a year ago, course has declined again to poor conditions with alot of dirt and weeds, some greens almost unplayable others, very neglected... very disappointing after a much need TLC starting a 1.5 yrs ago
Overview is overrated
First, forget the catchy name “Golf and Tennis Club”. Tennis courts are overgrown with only 2 that looked playable. This is a muny if there ever was one. The only bright spot was the greens (except No. 1). Every shot had potential to roll 20-40 more yards. Many into creeks and unplayable. But it plays fast and the Friday players looked to. be “ working from home”. Otherwise, the weather was great and my cart mates were very generous.
Right off the plane
Landed in Tampa at 10am and booked 12:30 tee time(18mins) from TPA.
Arrived at 12:15 no warmup as the tee box was open and 4hrs later we were on our way back to condo.
Nice layout and greens were rolling…will be coming back again
Had fun
Course was fun to play. Group 2 in front told starter they knew the owner and played as a group of 5. If I was the starter, I would have said no way. Made for a very long round. Some people actually left. That was very frustrating. Otherwise course was fun an staff was excellent
Northdale gc
Golf pro Keith was great and helped us get out on time for all of us
Course was nice except the first hole green which was damaged from last sept 2024 hurricane
Other than that the rest of course and greens were nice
Greens rolled real well too
Course went down like the neighborhood
Used to be a great place. Has not been kept up
Move on, do no recommend
Northdale gc
Staff were great
Club pro Keith was very helpful to accommodate our group and get us off as near our tee time as possible
Course was in great shape after hurricane last sept 2024
Only first hole green had some issue but the rest of the greens were nice rolling
Would play this course again for sure
Pace of play was good
We were done in about 4 hours
