Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course

This place is tricky to play around the greens, since it could be very challenging.

In the other hand, I have played this place on weekdays and it's great -pricing as well- but on the weekends is super slow. Just be prepared fof a 5.5 hrs round and to wait for a while on the tee boxes.

Fairways, greens and tee boxes all much improved over 2021 - when I decided never to play this course again! I was told of the improvements, so gave it a second chance. Good decision.

Easily walkable, and fairly flat with some nice challenges en route, although none are very difficult.

The driving range was very expensive and very full, but the round was reasonably priced.

Love the course layout staff is great but coffee shop out if most beers and food items girl working her attitude was poor at best. Cart girl went out of her way to get us what she could to drink.

Played on October 9. Greens were still recovering from aerification but otherwise in good condition. Several brown spots or dead areas on fairways, but not enough to make the course unplayable. Very interesting layout and challenging enough. Course is not long, so if you're a long hitter, play from the gold tees.

The course was pretty nice even though the greens where being worked on and had about an inch of sand on them. No problem as I understand every course does this. Problem was everyone was actually acting like there was no sand on the greens at all, the 2 groups in front of us where actually lining up 2 foot putts on every hole after already putting twice or three times. I looked around and saw that everyone was doing it. I told my group to just take a 2 putt on every hole because you can't put on the greens anyways and it will make it easier and speed up play. Nobody would listen. I asked the marshal to please ask the two groups in front of us to let up play through since I had already asked them on 2 different holes and he said Oh, It's just traffic, enjoy the day and relax. It's that attitude the made the round last an extra 1.5 hours. I would have quit this course again, but it was a really nice day. I played with 3 locals and they said they where very pleased at the pace of play taking 5 hours I told them I usually walk in about 3.5 hours and that I am taking my time while doing it....They said Why? I said because I have things to do and no golf course on this planet should take so long while riding in a cart.

I'll come and play here again, I like the views and sometime I can play in 3.5 hours here in the middle of the day...It's just so hit or miss here.

The greens were not healed and they were SLOW AF. Bumpy punched holes filled with sand with hairy greens just makes you feel like you want to go back to bed. Should’ve known. The course was extremely wet too. Mud holes and puddles everywhere. And the hole cups looked like they were made three weeks ago. Hairy grass over grown into the cups made it look smaller than you know who’s you know what.

Course has good layout and enjoyable to play even though greens had been recently been punched and sanded, play was pretty slow. I would play again but try to get a real early tee time

We thought we will be very slow, instead we were slow. Group due to we had beginner in our group.

He played fast as he could where we had to pace with front group.

Myself and son played and has individual best score.

Hardest part of this course is getting reservations

Good Drive to middle then good iron approach will give you a good score.

Although this is closest course but hard to reserve to play locally
