RSJ review
Played on a Saturday around 1:30. The pace of play was good but shape of the course is not wort $82 that late on a Saturday. The fairways need help (water and general care). but the greens were in good shape. I would play again but not at that price w/o improvements.
Subpar muni
Course conditions were what I remember , mixed grass fairways, slow greens(aerated), and bad lies everywhere. Pace of play was good for the most part. Fairways also aerated and very dry.
Slowest day ever!!
Well first off when I get there to check in I was over charged! Tried saying something but I guess they were to busy to help me with that booked it online and should have come out to like 36 dollars after I already paid a small fee so that was the first thing! Then we got put behind a group that was playing super slow! I’ve played behind slow people before but this was absolutely ridiculous tee time was 1:39 we got done at 7:30 the group in front of us shouldn’t have been there but hands down won’t be coming back to this course used to play it all the time and always fun! This was just absolutely the worst time I’ve ever had on a course! Also they won’t even give out ice my buddy I played with is a type one diabetic so need juice and stuff and he likes it cold so before we started I asked for ice the guy said ya it will be 25 bucks I didn’t wanna start anything so just left it at that! Save your money and go play a better course!
4 hour round, but greens recently sanded
I enjoyed the round, but was disappointed with the price once I discovered the greens had recently been sanded. Usually prices are lower when greens are in that condition. But it was a nice day and we finished in 4 hours on a Saturday
Aerated Greens and Cart Sharing
They did not notify us that the greens had been recently aerated. Also, I was going out as a singe, and they made me share a cart with a stranger. I would have appreciated knowing this information before paying for the round
Don’t honor golf now prices
Beware of the green fees. They don’t honor golf now prices. Book at 46 a round and they charged 55 a person instead, when asked why they over charged they said it’s golf nows problem and that you’re just reserving the tee time not the price! Total crooks in my opinion. Why be on golf now if your not going to honor the pricing you reserved.
Meh
Would’ve been nice if GolfNow posted that the greens were punched. There is less sand on the beach and fewer pot holes on the moon than on these greens this past Friday. Pretty disappointing to have to putt on that and yet GolfNow nor the checkin/starter mentioned that.
They’ve really stepped it up
New ownership has really done a great job. They’ve slowly but surely done everything needed to maximize this golf course. It’s always been a fun layout. But now we have nice tee boxes and dramatically improved fairway grass. Greens are solid.
SLOW PACE
Women with minimal golf skills should be required to use the shortest distance Tee Boxes!
Some PAR 4 and PAR 5 holes we were forced to wait almost 20 minutes!
Forgiving, fun, great value
With the exception of a few burnt out fairways and tee boxes, the course is very playable and being well kept. There are some beautiful holes on the back with lots of water. You can score here - the fairways are normally wide open with only a thin tree-line and the greens roll true.
