Play this course
The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The course was okay and could use some TLC. Layout was moderate. I rode the course in a golf cart but next time will walk, as it is fairly flat and easy to get around. Amenities are nice, bottom line, I enjoyed this course. I recommend you "Play this course".
Very Slow
This has to be the slowest course I’ve ever played. Even midday during midweek, it was slow. The individuals in front of our group was an entire home behind. Once I hit the 4 hr mark on the 12th I decided to leave. I’m 15 mins away from this course and would rather drive an hr to another course. They really need a Marshall on this course to help keep pace
Awesome Day on the Course
Rancho has definitely make some upgrades to the place, beautiful landscapes and views and updated signs and greens were good!
Friendly with some Challenge
San Joaquin is a course that I love to play as a 90ish golfer due to the ability to find your ball even on a bad shot. Granted some holes there are some hazards or streets, it’s a great course that allows you to use every club in the bag. The full price is nothing more then what I would expect for a course in Orange County.
Some of the people I have played with have been the very nice and friendly to my pace and bad shots. I’ve really only walked the course and I’ve only waited for my aggressive approach shots and a couple minutes on the par 3s.
Overall I’d recommend this course if you can get it for around 35-50 dollars!
RSJ review
Played on a Saturday around 1:30. The pace of play was good but shape of the course is not wort $82 that late on a Saturday. The fairways need help (water and general care). but the greens were in good shape. I would play again but not at that price w/o improvements.
Subpar muni
Course conditions were what I remember , mixed grass fairways, slow greens(aerated), and bad lies everywhere. Pace of play was good for the most part. Fairways also aerated and very dry.
