About
San Vicente Golf Resort sprawls across lush rolling hills in Ramona, though it is conveniently only 20 minutes from San Diego's many attractions. Situated in the Valley of the Sun, the golf course boasts scenic views of the surrounding mountains as well as temperate weather for most of the year. Ted Robinson designed the layout, utilizing the natural contours and features of the terrain. The golf course only measures to 6,633 yards from the back tees but it seems to play much longer because of the elevation changes throughout, which range from subtle to dramatic. The undulating nature of the landscape gives each hole a unique character. No two holes even vaguely resemble one another on this layout. San Vicente is not only for golfers though, there are also lighted tennis courts, two equestrian centers, and a year-round heated pool.

Nice course
Enough water, traps, huge trees that can sneak up on you. Sand is in excellent condition, large lakes and you are definitely in the country with huge trees surrounding. Greens are in real good shape and lots of undulation.
Felt like a Midwest country club atmosphere. Nice place to spend the day.
Greens are always a challenge but lots of fun
Fairways looking a little rough in spots, but the fresh sand in the bunkers make it a little more challenging around the hole.
Overall great, as usual.
Excellent condition as usual. Pace of play left something to be desired however. Sometimes that's just the way it is I guess. Two slow groups ahead of us.

Slow play
Course was in good conditions, greens are in good condition and fast. Getting on the green with a 8, 7, 6 iron or longer the ball will roll of the back.
Attitude if you book on golf now and slow play
Was met with some attitude by the guy in pro shop when I asked about a senior rate for my 70 year old dad and was told “too bad , you booked on golf now.” Every course we have ever booked at lets us adjust. The illusion of the tee times being spaced apart is just that, an illusion. They will allow “members” aka hack golfers in their own carts jump ahead of you and they do not enforce pace of play at all. No beverage cart for 70-100 dollar green fees is pretty bad too. Greens are incredible but if you’re trying to get a quick weekday round in, this isn’t the spot.

Good value for the rate. The range balls were not in very good condition.
