San Vicente Golf Resort
About
San Vicente Golf Resort sprawls across lush rolling hills in Ramona, though it is conveniently only 20 minutes from San Diego's many attractions. Situated in the Valley of the Sun, the golf course boasts scenic views of the surrounding mountains as well as temperate weather for most of the year. Ted Robinson designed the layout, utilizing the natural contours and features of the terrain. The golf course only measures to 6,633 yards from the back tees but it seems to play much longer because of the elevation changes throughout, which range from subtle to dramatic. The undulating nature of the landscape gives each hole a unique character. No two holes even vaguely resemble one another on this layout. San Vicente is not only for golfers though, there are also lighted tennis courts, two equestrian centers, and a year-round heated pool.

Friday pm golf
Course was in good condition, bunkers were excellent greens tricky given the pin placements.
Played in a four ball and the pace was good with no delays.
Would play it again.
Always Fun and Quality Golf Experience
The property is bit dated but staff, course layout, resort amenities and course conditions always great experience 👍🏼 recommend to all.
Course in relatively good shape
Nice day some of greens have construction on fringes. But overall good shape. Course is clean losts of bushes and brush removed.
Way better than anticipated
I’ve driven past this course many times but never played; mainly because from the road it doesn’t look like much, and it’s 45 minutes away. After finally trying it, I was impressed. The greens are fast, true, and feature rolling slopes, while the areas around them have well-manicured undulations and elevation changes that add strategy to approach shots. The rough is easy to play from, and the fairways are consistently green. You really need to be on the course to appreciate the quality; from afar it doesn’t do it justice.
Under rated Gem
San Vicente is one of the most underrated courses in San Diego. Best greens in the country. Plays hard and fast Really good bunkers. And a good variety of shots. The only downside is the heat in the summer and it’s kind of hard to get to
San Vicente
This is a very nice course with a very solid layout. The greens are relatively fast and very true. I'm not wild with the design of the greens with multiple humpbacks and strange slopes. I will definitely return to play here again. Little bit of a drive from Mission Valley area it took about 45 minutes to get there.
Fairway, traps and greens were in excellent shape.
Front 9 typical track course surrounded by homes. Challenging greens. I played gold tees at nearby Mt. Woodson and needed to move up to green/red tees on San Vicente.
Back 9 is a very different kind of course with more rugged ruff consisting of chaparral and oak trees.
Pro: great snack bar.
Con: course not monitored and seems to be a free for all with locals walking or driving on and off the course with kids and dogs at their leisure. Doesn’t have a professional golf club feel, especially for the price.
