About
Opened in 1929, Willowick Golf Course in Santa Ana is Orange County's oldest public golf course. It is a challenging layout that has garnered a quite a following over the years. The course features wide fairways and large greens that offer ample room. There aren’t any water hazards a few strategically placed sand traps come into play and there are also mature trees lining the fairways. Golfers will get to practice a variety of different shots on this course. It is player-friendly enough for high-handicappers but there are still some challenges for low handicappers. The excellent condition of the greens and fairways are inviting no matter what your skill level. In addition to the golf course, Willowick also offers a grass driving range and three practice putting greens.

The Wick
Always fun the play willowick. It can be a forgiving course off the tee, fairways are being aerated.
Fun
The speed of play was pretty good for the price and the staff was awesome. There were a lot of inflection point where you have to keep your head on a swivel to watch for errant shots but otherwise it was a great deal for the money.
Long walk
I like to play here because the fair ways are long and wide open but still a walkable Place to play . The greens are in pretty good shape the fairways need some water Ibut not bad I am diabetic so it is good for me to play here and get out of my house over all I like this place it is a good walk
Horrible
This place should be closed down. Tee boxes, fairways, greens were all junk. I even heard of people getting mugged or stuff stolen by (homeless) people on the other side of the fence. Saw a homeless person walking on the fairway too. This place is trash.
Poor Experience
The cart died five holes in and when I called an asked for a replacement they said someone would come right out. 20 minutes later, groups are behind us that we allowed to play through. Walked back in five minutes to the clubhouse where I was informed “it was in neutral” and that a technician was at the cart when nobody showed up.
It’s ok
I would say this course is good for beginners but it also needs a lot of work. Tons of holes for moles everywhere, green was really bumpy and most of the course was really bumpy. Also, our cart died at the 7th hole, so we had to leave it behind and just call it a day.
Poor
The course is in poor condition ...The course has the poorish classe of golfers of any Ive played..The greens are in poor condition ..Overall ,, I play it for the money saved...Obviously I,m not playing this course for any reason other than money and it’s close to my home..
Poor green condition
Greens are patched here and there and rough. Fairways are bumpy and bare.
Practice
Good course to practice you tee shots and short game , wide open hard to lose your ball no water. Fairways had a lot of dirt
Greens need help
Pace of play was good wasn’t held up until the 15th hole
