Babe Zaharias Golf Course

Greens keepers lack in knowledge in how to do pin placement and repairing the old cup hole I could count up to as many as 7 to 12 previous holes on each green. Sand traps were not racked properly and had to much growth on the insides of the sand traps. Fairways had different types of weeds and grass growing in them.

Course overall in fairly good condition, some fairways were dry and weedy, but overall good condition tea boxes in good shape considering

Public course

I usually do not like to trash courses, but this was definitely the worst course ive played in tampa bay. It’s horrible. The greens are basically a sand tramp, and the tee box is not even hittable.

This is a solid public course with some challenging holes. They could do a better job, keeping the rough lower and the greens in better shape. The greens are super fast, but they’re not well manicured. Still, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it’s a fine day on the course at Babe Zaharias.

Myself and my friend said it has to be 6/7 yrs since we were here.. It was a cold Feb day with six other friends. Anyway we had a great 'round ! We will be back more often ! The gals running the show were Aces too - Thanks Ladies !

So The Greens are in really bad shape! So are the tee boxes and fairways! There are 3-4 good Greens out of 18. The rest of them are a mess. They have rot, punches and are so slow! My buddy checked us in so I didn't have to see anyone or use the facilities. No Starter, I wonder why? Sorry BABE! I have never seen the place look so bad. I was embarrassed for my buddy playing there his first time.

We could only play the front 9 twice. This was not in the details of the reservation. I felt like it was dishonest to advertise 18 with only 9 holes in shape to play.

They spent all that money to redo the greens and fairways and they let them go to crap greens keeper should be terminated

My only criticism is the grass conditions. Some of the greens have huge sand/dirt patches and the fairways are kind of rough as well. That being said, the pace of play was better than expected, the greens had some interesting levels and undulations, and I enjoyed the round.

This has got to be, by far, the absolute worst course I’ve ever played at. The fairways are filled with weeds and dirt. Grass is non-existent. Almost all the greens had scalping spots that had no grass and just dirt. Very frustrating to play a course like this when the pictures on their website shows something completely different.

Fairways are spotty and so are the greens. Love the layout.
