About
Countryway Golf Club is an executive golf course that is known for its extremely affordable rates. Situated in the heart of Westchase, it is considered one of the best values in Tampa Bay. The layout consists of eleven par-3 holes and seven par 4s. The golf course is challenging enough for more advanced golfers but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners to enjoy. The rolling terrain provides undulations in both the greens and fairways. The hills also make for some challenging putts. There is no shortage of water at Countryway Golf Club with hazards coming into play on 14 holes. There are also bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Great par 68 for the money
Only 20 to play for 4 hours. Overall conditions are very poor but doesn’t really matter for how cheap it is.
Great Executive Course
Great Executive Course for the money. Price is great. The courses are good. The people that work there really make the place. It really gets packed at CountryWay, but for all the right reasons. We usually have 2, 4 and sometimes 8 people with us, and always have a great time.
Great short-game course
This short-game course presents many challenges with lots of water features and undulating fairways and hilly sides. If you are looking for a place to improve you short game accuracy, consider this course.

Terrible Ranger
We got to hole three and there were 4 groups waiting to tee off. Never seen anything like it. Every other hole had 1 group. We tried to skip a couple holes and pass up the clump of 4 groups, but the ranger flagged us down and had a fit. We ended up leaving because he insisted that we stay behind the clump of 4 groups all waiting to tee of on hole 3. God awful. Better off having no ranger. Guys in the pro shop seemed to agree that this guy was bad at keeping the pace and offered a refund but couldn’t provide it because we booked through golf now. Would love to get a refund from golf now.
Pathetic
For $20 I know I should not expect much BUT they made me feel like I paid $19 too much. Had a 3pm tee time, arrived at 2:45 to see about 6 groups waiting to tee off. The guy behind us had a 3:06 tee time so they stack groups 6 minutes apart. Finally teed off around 3:30. Each hole thereafter was a 15-20 minute wait. The started blamed the desk guys for letting people go out early even though it is his job to regulate that. Beer ladies were arguing with each other at the bar even though there was 1 customer, me. The course is in awful shape. Good luck finding.a 2 inch patch of grass on the tee boxes. Long story short, this has to the be worst course in Tampa Bay. It is the worst course I have ever played that is for sure.
Short and Narrow
Lots of holes 100 yards or less. The longer holes have fairly narrow fairways. Overall okay to work on your short game, but I probably will chose other courses in the future.
T times
Should push t times to 7or 8 minutes first here holes a a brutal wait
My favorite course
I like an executive course that still requires every club in the bag. I will play Countryway frequently as my favorite course, expecially for the greens fee value.
Nice Little Course
Don’t let the yardage fool you. Challenging little course that we thoroughly enjoyed.
