About
Countryway Golf Club is an executive golf course that is known for its extremely affordable rates. Situated in the heart of Westchase, it is considered one of the best values in Tampa Bay. The layout consists of eleven par-3 holes and seven par 4s. The golf course is challenging enough for more advanced golfers but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners to enjoy. The rolling terrain provides undulations in both the greens and fairways. The hills also make for some challenging putts. There is no shortage of water at Countryway Golf Club with hazards coming into play on 14 holes. There are also bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Golfer Reviews
Do Not Play!!
The greens are unplayable on most holes. Buckets of sand dumped on them, with patches of sod jigsawed together for a makeshift green. Tee boxes are all 30/40 yards up because the old ones are completely dirt. For a short course to have holes cut in half it makes for a terrible round. I’ve played here before when conditions are average and it’s a fun course, but they honestly shouldn’t even be open right now. They need a couple of weeks to really focus on the course.
Ricky Rules
Good news was pace of play was great because the snowbirds have gone back north for the summer. Bad news was the greens have taken a beating because of the heat.
The greens and tee boxes aren’t well-kept. The course is fun and a pretty quick pace of play if you’re looking for something fast. Would recommend just based on that. Staff was rude and subpar.
Great experience
On vacation - looking to get in a quick round with my teenage son. Extremely friendly people working in the club house and the marshal was kind and helpful.. Challenging course,, but we had a great time.
Greens are the worst in Florida!
the greens were the worse ever. they look like they were being rebuilt but with sod from the local home depot. the price to play there makes it worth my time especially when still learning the game.
6/25
The course hasn’t looked good in awhile. It s a dirt cheap course. There is always a backup at hole 3, ranger hangs out but does not say anything to people pretending to be in the PGA. Greens and tee boxes are absolute garage and always being “repaired” aka they are just doing patch work.
Too crowded and poor conditions
The people were great, food was good and reasonable; however the course was crowded and in very poor condition.
Weekend Overcrowding
6 minutes between 4somes is UNREALISTIC!! Playing midweek at unpopular times is the best way to avoid traffic jams. On a recent Sunday, our twosome took 2hrs and 20 min. to complete 7 holes. We left after 7 holes. NEVER AGAIN on Saturday or Sunday!!
Great value
Even though it’s an executive course, there are ample challenges and driving opportunities. Water plays on 14 holes so bring extra balls! The greens weren’t in the best shape but overall the course was nice, clean, and in good shape. The pro shop, starters, and snack bar staff were all terrific and friendly.
