Countryway Golf Club

About
Countryway Golf Club is an executive golf course that is known for its extremely affordable rates. Situated in the heart of Westchase, it is considered one of the best values in Tampa Bay. The layout consists of eleven par-3 holes and seven par 4s. The golf course is challenging enough for more advanced golfers but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners to enjoy. The rolling terrain provides undulations in both the greens and fairways. The hills also make for some challenging putts. There is no shortage of water at Countryway Golf Club with hazards coming into play on 14 holes. There are also bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Best value in town for a nice round of golf.
I have been going to this course for years. Love the layout and the conditions are the best they have been all year long! Pace of play is always a bit slow but you can’t beat this course especially good for beginners
Course in great shape.
This summer the greens were a bit rough however they have reseeded all of the greens and some fairways. The conditions are excellent. I appreciate the value. It is a shorter course however challenging at the same time. I am thankful for an affordable golfing option. 👍😊
Coarce condition was great for this time of year.
Good greens compared to the public courses and at least some grass on the fair ways.
Best cheap golf course around.
Short, not narrow, plays easy. Course is in good condition.
Not really a challenge for a good golfer, short and not very challenging.
For the prices it’s in good shape and it’s a fun track.
Fun executive course!
I hadn't played Countryway in over 15 years until about 3 months ago. My Monday night league played there 2-3 times when our regular course was unavailable. Since then, I've returned several times to play, as it's the best value in Tampa for a fast, inexpensive round of golf. There are a few par 4 holes on both sides, so it's not all par 3 holes. The owners and staff are amazing, the prices are half that of any golf course in the Tampa Bay Area unless buying a value deal somewhere, and you can play 18 holes in 2-3 hours.
Nice for beginners but prepare to be rushed
Very rude marshal. We were understanding of the groups behind us and let them go ahead, and the marshal still followed us to every hole and criticized the pace in which we were playing, even though many delays were not our fault (for example waiting on the groups in front of us to finish up and being paired with a beginner pair). We still finished 18 holes in under 4 hours despite being told on each one that we were playing too slow. Other staff was friendly and overall, this is a great course for beginners and we had a nice experience otherwise.
Poor shape, extremely slow play, no Marshall.
My wife and I have played Countryway many times. Previous years it was in much better shape. The hurricanes may have had an effect on course conditions. They are working on repairing the course. Pace of play was brutally slow. Played the first two holes in tempo only to arrive at tee three where we were the 4th group waiting to tee off. No Marshall. Told staff after nine holes that 2 1/2 was too long.... and left! Desperately requires a Marshall.
We played Island Innisbrook and this course was in better shape
