University of South Florida Golf Course - The Claw

Very outdated. Pro shop is in a metal box. Tee boxes are a mess, fairways were mostly okay and greens were very slow. First time to place but would probably go back. I thought a lot of the holes were challenging for me. Staff very friendly. Very few people there so enjoyed our own pace.

Very good for the $. The tee boxes do need extra care. All of them needed grass or some kind of turf. The putting was very sandy and had bad spots on it. Definitely could use TLC. The driving range was used for the university which was nice but for the public terrible condition. No place to pitch and no place to buy balls. I think people were having practice balls in shopping bags——-

The check in or pro shop was make shift. It needs to updated badly.

Overall you will enjoy it

Tough course, not in the best conditions and they’re not doing anything with it either. But it is challenging and fun to play

Course conditions were poor at best. No grass in most tee boxes.

Greens were slow and shaggy. Thin fairways and rough. Don’t waste your time!

The club is a shipping container. Nothing very special about this course, greens are average, tee boxes are close to straight dirt. I will say the course has gotten better since I went to the university.

I have had a membership here for a while and just decided to cancel due to the rude staff and course conditions. The membership includes range balls everyday but they barley ever have because they don’t pick them often so half the time I go they aren’t any available. Don’t waste your money or time. pace of play is crazy slow and everything is very unorganized. No starter for tee times so it’s first come first serve. Also have u ever been a MEMBER of a golf club that refuses to give you ice unless you buy beer from them??

The fairways and greens were in decent condition. The tee boxes are in horrible shape and almost unusable. Will continue to play yearly, and maybe one of these years they may have clubhouse and cart barn?

I played this course on 4/6 and was absolutely thrilled with the condition of the course. The greens are always great and were rolling very true this round. The fairway was kept pretty nice as well. Great time to get over to the course and play a practice round!! Definitely recommend at this moment (and I am someone who has walked off of this course in the past out of frustration of the conditions. Now is great)

Paid less than 20.00 to play, was done in about 3 hours. Course could use some up keep, though.

A challenging course. Elevated greens. Needs some work, but very peaceful.

They have no clubhouse. They have no restaurant. And one bathroom outside.
