About
Located a short distance from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and Arizona State University, Kokopelli Golf Course is a championship length course that offers many interesting challenges. The rolling terrain creates sloping greens and undulating fairways. A majority of the teeboxes and greens are elevated as well. The course also has large multiple island tees and water hazards in the form of meandering lakes that come into play on several holes. The signature hole of Kokopelli Golf Course is the par-5 18th hole. The dramatic finishing hole calls for a shot off an elevated too followed by an approach shot past water to an elevated green.

Wet, muddy landfill
Course is in horrendous shape. It’s literally a landfill. Go to Topgolf instead.

Don't waste your time and or gas to drive there!!!
We continue to make improvements and the course is in great shape for being in June. We are not wall to wall grass, Tees, fairways and greens are in great shape. See you soon!
No ball washers.
I had two complaints. First, there were no ball washers anywhere on the course and the course has a good amount of dirt areas that are also often muddy. Second, the 15th hole was closed for repairs, but no one informed me of the fact when I booked the round. It seems that I might have played somewhere else until the repair was completed.
Hi judgemark, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Ball washers were on the course previoulsy but will not becoming back unfortunately. The 13th hole was closed for maintenance and we will make sure to better share that info moving forward.
Kokopelli is making a come back
Over the past few years, Kokopelli had lost its attraction the Phoenix Metro due to the course conditions. I had heard from someone at a different course that they have been working on the course and were making some changes. It's apparent they are doing so. The course is looking better and the greens are rolling smooth. The changes are noticeable, and looking good. The heat is kicking up in AZ, and all courses are drying out. Kokopelli is no different. So if you play there in the coming months, cut them slack if the course doesn't look amazing. It's Arizona in the summer. Overall, glad my wife and I went back to give it another try. The team has done some great work, and hopefully will continue to do so!

Quit after 12 holes
This is not the Pebble Beach golf resort! There is no reason for a round to take over five hours to play. And we were well over three hours and only on hole 11. Played 12. Still so slow that at that point we decided to walk off the course.

Several bare spots. Greens hard as concrete with dead spots

Soggy
Way to much water bunkers had standing water in them

Best of the worst - least best !!!
Obviously it's a one and done course, you play it once and you'll never play again. Amazing to see how many golfers there are in the valley for there are enough one-time players to play this course to somehow keep it open.
Don't believe me ? Learn the hard and expensive way and play for yourself. In the event you are reading this after you have made the mistake to play this course I'm sure next time you play any course you will read the reviews.

Overall in Great Shape
Course was in great shape, still a little confused as to why a couple of the holes were cart path only. No starter made for some slow play but not terrible
