Kokopelli Golf Course
About
Located a short distance from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and Arizona State University, Kokopelli Golf Course is a championship length course that offers many interesting challenges. The rolling terrain creates sloping greens and undulating fairways. A majority of the teeboxes and greens are elevated as well. The course also has large multiple island tees and water hazards in the form of meandering lakes that come into play on several holes. The signature hole of Kokopelli Golf Course is the par-5 18th hole. The dramatic finishing hole calls for a shot off an elevated too followed by an approach shot past water to an elevated green.

Is this round over yet?! Photo submitted by u000001335906 on 01/03/2015
Yikes
This course used to be in pretty amazing condition 10 years ago. It now might be the worst course I've ever played on. I'm sure they'll be closing the doors soon unless it gets bought out. Please don't waste your money. Staff was friendly though!
Worst golf course in Arizona
Everything about this golf course is rundown snd neglected. From the tee box to the greens and everything in between us in poor condition. The driving range is nothing but a dirt lot. There is grass growing in the sand traps and the water hazards are nothing but marsh pits and a breeding ground for mosquitos. DO NOT PLAY THIS GOLF COURSE it is not worth it even if it was free to play.
Terrible
The only thing good was the course layout. The fairways looked like a motocross track. What used to be sand traps need weed whacked. Hole #2 is closed and has been & will be closed for a long time. The other 17 holes need major work.
Avoid this Dump
I’ve played here plenty and I’ve shot decently but today was no bueno not because of me (I’m a 9)—I had some bad shots of course but the ones that were good didn’t stay on the green as the greens don’t hold. There is no grass in the “fairways” and the course is in garbage shape. They are going to say “we are overseeding in a few days” and that is fair but if so, why are you charging premium prices this close to it? Bunkers in horrible shape, no sand, just hard pan with grass. This course could be great but they have consistently put no money and time in to it and I swear it off and then end up here 2-3 times per year. It’s never as pristine as it should be and the prices are always out of the sync with the conditions. Lower the price and I’ll accept the course conditions as “you get what you pay for”. Please, fix this place up as the layout is a great challenge, food and employees very nice. The course tho, oh man it’s just not up to par.
Terrible golf course
This was the worse-condition golf course I have ever played. Nothing before even comes close to these horrible conditions. Almost unimaginable. It was a joke.
Don't go there! Save your money!
Construction zone
Disappointed about the visit to the course. Had passed on another booking after seeing the competition was over seeding. So I picked this course instead since there were no course alerts on the booking. Once arrived the course was scalped for over seeding and was closing next week for course renovations for a month. Hole 2 was closed. The pro in the shop seemed less than empathetic after we mentioned the conditions at the turn. Not sure I come back to see the renovations.
Not worth it
Booked through Golf Now. Reaching the course, no greeted us or asked to help us with out bags. Carts were unattended. SIGNAGE IS TERRIBLE! Had to ask the location of the first tee and for the rest of the day confusion reigned at times, trying to make our way around the course.
As for conditions, the course as a whole seems beaten, neglected and not appreciated. Many areas of dirt, trash, and dead trees. Sad.
Horrible conditions
If you have to literally shut down an entire hole please dont open to the public or make that fee cheap very disappointed
Horrible worst course I have played in the valley
Parking brakes on carts did not work one hole was closed greens were rutted I will never play there again
Not worth 10 bucks
Had fun - they’re making improvements
Course definitely needs a lot of love. You can tell the staff is motivated to make changes and wants people to have a good time. Probably will go again
Horrible condition
I’ve not played this course in about 10 years. Back then, it was well maintained and, overall, a decent track. My experience there today was horrible. The fairways are mostly dirt, there is standing water all over the course that smells, mosquitoes are out of control, and the traps are hard as a rock with no sand. One hole was shut down for repair, and there were three golf carts stranded in mud in the fairway. The only plus was I finished in under 3 hours. Is this place going out of business? If not, it should. I clearly missed the memo. This place needs so much work. This is a PSA—don’t waste your time on this course at present.
Not Great
The course is in really poor conditions. There's huge patches of no grass, or overgrown grass, and dead patches. The cost of the course does not equate to the quality of the course. That being said the greens were well maintained and rolled true for the most part, and the club house looks awesome with newly renovated interior with comfortable seating and good food options,
