Kokopelli Golf Course
About
Located a short distance from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and Arizona State University, Kokopelli Golf Course is a championship length course that offers many interesting challenges. The rolling terrain creates sloping greens and undulating fairways. A majority of the teeboxes and greens are elevated as well. The course also has large multiple island tees and water hazards in the form of meandering lakes that come into play on several holes. The signature hole of Kokopelli Golf Course is the par-5 18th hole. The dramatic finishing hole calls for a shot off an elevated too followed by an approach shot past water to an elevated green.

Is this round over yet?! Photo submitted by u000001335906 on 01/03/2015
Course for the money
This course wasn’t worth the money, the fairways didn’t have grass, mostly dirt and mud. All the bunkers excluding the 18th hole didn’t have sand, just mud and High weeds. I wouldn’t recommend spending your money At this course.
Play elsewhere this summer!
Not going to bag on this place. But trust me, this course is in HORRIBLE condition for the summer.
Course in terrible condition.
Kokopelli is in the worst condition of any course I have ever played. More dirt than grass in the fairways, no sand in the bunkers and the greens were just shy of concrete hard.
So mid
It was cheap but the coarse is basically all dirt and the greens were rock solid. It is summer and hot but just a honest review.
Mud
Koko is usually kind of sloppy but was almost unplayable this time. Way overpriced.
Poor course condition
Course is in reallybad shape. Lots of mud and missing grass on the fairways. Bunkers were really baf as well. This is the worst Course I've played in AZ. Was also held back by the foursome in front of us, we were a two-some.
Course was super rough
Play here a couple times a month. Recently there seems to be very little upkeep. A lot of brown grass, weeds, downed brush and tree limbs. Can be a nice course at a reasonable price if maintained.
Under new ownership?
No sand in the bunkers throughout the entire course hardly any grass in the fairways.
Definitely not worth $50; i wouldn't complain if it was $25 as that is what should be charged for the condition it is in.
Frustrating day
I normally enjoy playing Kokopelli in the summer as the staff is friendly and I can get a quick round in. However today was an exception. When I got to the course I found out that the front nine was closed and I had to play the back nine twice. That alone wasn't too bad. But when I teed off as a single due to the hot weather and sparse number of players in the afternoon, I was behind another single and a twosome in front of him. The twosome let the first single play through on the second hole, but they never let me play through. Therefore I had to wait on most every shot. Also, my cart died on the fourteenth hole. Fortunately there was a single behind me, and he allowed me to load my stuff onto his cart so I could finish the round. It turned out to be a frustrating day. So different than my usual round at this course.
1st and LAST time playing here !
Hopefully you've learned by now when you see the nice beautiful picture that they present on the app it is 100% and in the accuracy and total fake news don't waste your time and in the future make sure to read the reviews of all the courses that seemingly look so beautiful and wonderful
First and last time
Instead of writing a paragraph about all the different things wrong with this course I instead chose: don’t waste your time. Pick literally anywhere else.
Trash
If you’re looking for a challenging, yet fun to play course, look elsewhere. If you are looking for bunkers that have no sand and lines with clay, fairways that mimic a prepubescent trend face, foul smelling ponds that lack water but have ample dead fish, you’ve come to the right place.
Very frustrating round here. You can hit the ball down the center only to find your ball in standing water. It’s like they used the water from the lakes to water the wrong areas of this course. The fairways are spotty at best w green grass. The greens are decent.
For 60$ a head, you can find so much better
Don’t waste your time
It was my first time playing this course. Went in with an open mind and hoping for the best due to the previous reviews I read. Let me just say the negative reviews were not wrong. This course is poorly maintained, the layout is weird, and the greens are unpredictable especially the awkward hole placements. I will not recommend to any friends or family in the future unless I don’t like them. Will not be going back to
This course.
