Course Highlights
The course layout consistently earns praise for its rolling hills, moguls, and long fairways that create a genuinely challenging round. Friendly staff and reasonable rates make this a smart alternative to pricier options in the Phoenix area.

Located a short distance from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and Arizona State University, Kokopelli Golf Course is a championship length course that offers many interesting challenges. The rolling terrain creates sloping greens and undulating fairways. A majority of the teeboxes and greens are elevated as well. The course also has large multiple island tees and water hazards in the form of meandering lakes that come into play on several holes. The signature hole of Kokopelli Golf Course is the par-5 18th hole. The dramatic finishing hole calls for a shot off an elevated too followed by an approach shot past water to an elevated green.

Disappointed with the course conditions

This course has dramatically gone downhill since I last golfed here three years ago. There was no sand in the bunkers and most of them were flooded with water.

Dog Track

This place is in terrible shape. Absurdly poor shape. More dirt than grass on most fairways. Hard pan, cracked "bunkers." No care for cart path ropes so people just drive wherever. At $60 per person it's a full blown rip-off any time of year, but especially in the AZ summer. If rates were like $10 per round, I might consider it. Save your money--there are SO MANY better bargains and places to play in the East Valley.

Overpriced

Course was all dirt/mud in the fairways. $55 a person is a bit high for this course in the summer.

Course condition

It was impossible to hit. If you hit a perfect shot, it is still on hard ground. Not worth the money I spent today. Very unfortunate.

Course for the money

This course wasn’t worth the money, the fairways didn’t have grass, mostly dirt and mud. All the bunkers excluding the 18th hole didn’t have sand, just mud and High weeds. I wouldn’t recommend spending your money At this course.

Not going to bag on this place. But trust me, this course is in HORRIBLE condition for the summer.

Course in terrible condition.

Kokopelli is in the worst condition of any course I have ever played. More dirt than grass in the fairways, no sand in the bunkers and the greens were just shy of concrete hard.

So mid

It was cheap but the coarse is basically all dirt and the greens were rock solid. It is summer and hot but just a honest review.

Mud

Koko is usually kind of sloppy but was almost unplayable this time. Way overpriced.

Poor course condition

Course is in reallybad shape. Lots of mud and missing grass on the fairways. Bunkers were really baf as well. This is the worst Course I've played in AZ. Was also held back by the foursome in front of us, we were a two-some.

Course was super rough

Play here a couple times a month. Recently there seems to be very little upkeep. A lot of brown grass, weeds, downed brush and tree limbs. Can be a nice course at a reasonable price if maintained.

Under new ownership?

No sand in the bunkers throughout the entire course hardly any grass in the fairways.

Definitely not worth $50; i wouldn't complain if it was $25 as that is what should be charged for the condition it is in.

Do not play

Absolutely the worst course for the price, wouldn’t pay $20 to play here again let alone $50.
