In addition to the golf course itself, Western Skies provides a well-rounded golf experience, including a cutting-edge practice facility featuring a driving range enhanced by Inrange technology, putting greens, areas for short-game practice, and learning programs. Golf enthusiasts can also shop at a fully stocked pro shop and dine at Mulligans Grill, the club's restaurant and sports bar, making it a favorite spot to visit both before and after a round.
Positioned conveniently just minutes away from Loop 202 and US-60, and around 20 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Western Skies appeals to both local players and tourists. Western Skies
I am a bogey golfer. The course is very forgiving with decent fairways and fairly easy approaches. The greens roll fairly true and are mostly straight. In comparison to other courses I have golfed in the area it is a decent value. The club house staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the beverage cart driver that just kept going even after we waved to them and yelled for them to stop.
Good Value for the Price
Although not as scenic as other Valley courses, Western is in very good shape and a lot of fun to play. The greens were outstanding. The pace of play was great.
Nice course for the everyday golfer
Really liked the course! Layout is forgiving with nicely kept sand bunkers. Fairway in good condition. Greens very nice and semi-fast. All in all a very good value. We started right on time and finished in four hours with only a. Little waiting on the back nine. Price is higher than it used to be, but so are the prices anywhere in the valley these days. Staff were super nice too. Will definitely be back.
western skies
Course WOULD HAVE been awesome if I would have a received confirmation about booking. We were charged for NO SHOW due to GOLF NOW not responding to a text or email. Thanks for charging me for nothing. App is terrible. Anyone else get charged for no shows in past?? Western Skies told me it is the APP that screwed up.. Golf Now tells me it is the golf course that screwed up....... Either way I golfed at Ocotillo which was way more responsive when it comes to booking tee times.
Nice course
I wish I could give my game a 5-star rating but I played terribly that day. In spite of that, it was a very enjoyable course to play- challenging but not too difficult. Fairways and greens were on great shape. There was some standing water due to last week's,s heavy rains but otherwise very nice.
Unweatherly
Fun, fair course even with poor weather. Bar and grill looks comfy. Wasn’t able to eat.
nice course and friendly staff
Nice course but a little rough around the edges.
Good pace of play compared to other az courses.
I could have done without the loud music around the clubhouse.
nice course, friendly staff
nice course; a little rough around the edges.
Pace of play was great compared to other az courses.
I could have done without the loud music around the clubhouse.
Pretty much a goat track
Greens in general were ok, but grainy and slow. Fairways are mix of grass and mud/dirt. If your going to take a divot it’s like tearing grass, with chunks of dirt/mud
If you miss a fairway I hope you like weeds and hard pan!
Good note the tunes they crank outside the pro shop was good, but not good enough to return to this poorly maintained course. The grass driving range is a joke, your better off hitting off Matts, it’s was mostly hard pan.
Great staff , fun course
I play approximately 75 different courses each calendar year. I can usually tell within the first 5 minutes at a property how the day will go. Walking into pro shop at WS I was greeted warmly and treated great by staff. Any questions were quickly and professionally answered. The course has nice layout, great greens and good pace of play. I will definitely play there again.
Average experience
A bit overpriced for what you get but overall a good experience. The greens were true and the course itself not overly challenging.
Decent course for the price
Course was in good condition. Not terribly difficult, which I did not mind coming from east coast and not having played for a while. Was very very wet but can't blame the course for that issue.
Easy to find. Excellent breakfast sandwich, although restaurant did not open until 10am
