About
The golf course at the Western Skies Golf Club has a traditional layout with many different challenges and beautiful views. Surrounded by picturesque mountains and valleys, the course offers a taste of the countryside, which is further enhanced by the many aged Mesquite and Pinon trees sprinkled throughout. It features tree-lined fairways with generous landing areas and tricky water hazards. Two notable holes are the 4th and 7th holes, both par 3s. Although it is a modest 186 yards, the 4th hole requires a carry over water to a heavily bunkered green. Western Skies Golf Club's 18th hole is a drivable par four with water along the right side, making this an exciting finishing hole.

Needs a bit of attention in areas but a good round
Course is in fairly good condition but there are already some bare spots and it’s not really hot yet. The lounge was closed so no food or drink. And the staff was a bit overwhelmed with two tournaments this day. Took a bit of coaxing to get my cart sorted out.
We started the back nine on hole 10. There are WAY too many range balls out there at 07:30. Likely wasn’t cleaned up the night before.
Otherwise it’s a decent course for someone like me - just returning to golf after a layoff and still much a hacker.

Western Skies is always in immaculate shape, with wide fairways and big flat greens! The staff there always treat me like family, and they'll treat you that way too! Five Stars!

Solid course
Fairways are okay, greens are really good in comparison to other courses around here. Startet around 8 am and finished under 4 hours. Practice area is in very good shape. Just the layout is a little boring. Mostly woods and a wedge into the greens. So you can really score low here.
just a nice little course
Nice municipal course. No good sight seeing and the ball can roll for ever if you are not in the fairway. Good course to play if you don't like to think too much.
Good course
This is one of my favorites but like other course it is higher priced then what golf should be in Az
Dry Conditions
I am from the Northeast and i’m not used to super dry conditions with little or no green grass/rough. I am aware there has not been much rain here and the large number of northern golfers migrating to AZ this time of year is driving up the green fees, but $85 seems a little steep to me.
Green Fairways
We really enjoyed this course. The greens fairways were a nice surprise! We usually can't find those under $100. The course appears to be well taken care of! We will be back!
Canadians
Fun course to play for couples as pretty wide open and straightforward. The last 3 holes took 45 minutes otherwise we would have been done in 4 hrs.
Impressive
Very impressed with this course. First time we played it and we really enjoyed it. Pace of play was great. We played under four hours. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The restaurant food was excellent would highly recommend.
