About
Golf Club of Estrella is the very first golf course on a daily-fee basis to be designed by Jack Nicklaus II in Phoenix, where it makes its home in the master-planned community Estrella, and offers 18 holes of par-72 championship golf over 7,102 unique yards. The many tests of the golf course will impress every level of golfer - though a choice of tee sets ensures no one will get in over his or her head. Desert and wash spaces require golfers to vary their shots while they take in vistas from the fairways shaped to the contour of the land and framed in the Sierra Estrella Mountains.
A round of golf at the Golf Club Estrella kicks off on Morning Star, a par 4 that measures 359 yards from the black tees. If you stick to the black tees, you'll need to conserve your energy for The Arroyo, the 16th hole, a par 5 that measures 605 yards. After that, Evening Star, the 18th hole, will be a relative breeze, at par 4 and just 437 yards from the black teees.
Once the round of golf at the Golf Club of Estrella is over, head back to the Player's Grill Restaurant for American pub fare and Southwestern snacks.

Awesome course
Great experience. The staff was great. The course is kept in top ten level conditions. If I had to say anything negative it would be the starter. However he could have been having a bad day or untrained. Everything else was on point awesome course.
The course was in really good condition. The greens were almost 100% recovered from aerification. Pace of play was a little slow but that’s expected on a Sunday. Great value.
Almost perfect
The course is great. No debate there. I played the gold tees. The boxes were great. Landing areas were well maintained. Greens are ALMOST over the aeration. Still a little bumpy. Make sure you read the grain. The sand traps are the black eye on this course. Theyre going through some renovations to make them better but looks like they're a ways off. The bev cart attendant was great and timely. The outside service guys were very friendly and and helpful. Driving range hitting areas were pretty torn up and ready to be relocated. There's only one club washing bucket for 20 some hitting stations. A couple more would be a cheap upgrade. Played in a foursome of 3 single digit handicaps and a mid-handicap lady. 18 holes took about 4.5hrs. The dress code did not seem to be enforced as one of the guys in the group in front of us was out there in a t-shirt. The Marshall had to spur them along a once or twice to keep up pace. Water stations every 2 or three holes were ice cold and full. Love having on-board club and ball washer also. All-in-all, it was a very enjoyable outing and i will continue to keep this course in the rotation of courses to play.
Nice course, bunkers need work
Bunkers were in need of a lot of work.
Fairways and greens are excellent
Slow
Pace of play is painfully slow. I know this is a problem industry wide, but in the afternoon at 110° and standing 10-20 minutes on every tee box is dumb. Walked off at the 4th hole and passed stacks of people all the way to the clubhouse.
Pretty good for summer
Course is in good conditions but bunkers are mud and dirr that is only bad things.enjoy

Unbeatable value. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Range balls included. Ice, ball and club cleaner, towels, and tees in the cart. Flat tee boxes. Manicured fairways. Perfect greens. A challenge on every hole. Beautiful scenery. If you haven’t been to this course yet, just go. Thank me later.
