Golf Club of Estrella is the very first golf course on a daily-fee basis to be designed by Jack Nicklaus II in Phoenix, where it makes its home in the master-planned community Estrella, and offers 18 holes of par-72 championship golf over 7,102 unique yards. The many tests of the golf course will impress every level of golfer - though a choice of tee sets ensures no one will get in over his or her head. Desert and wash spaces require golfers to vary their shots while they take in vistas from the fairways shaped to the contour of the land and framed in the Sierra Estrella Mountains.

A round of golf at the Golf Club Estrella kicks off on Morning Star, a par 4 that measures 359 yards from the black tees. If you stick to the black tees, you'll need to conserve your energy for The Arroyo, the 16th hole, a par 5 that measures 605 yards. After that, Evening Star, the 18th hole, will be a relative breeze, at par 4 and just 437 yards from the black teees.

Once the round of golf at the Golf Club of Estrella is over, head back to the Player's Grill Restaurant for American pub fare and Southwestern snacks.

Rain delay.

Because of a rains felt the course was pretty much empty so getting around without having to wait on any holes was a joy. Greeted by starter who was vary fries during polite. Off the fist tee things look great. Nice green cut fairways then onto a great kept green that role smooth and true. A couple rough spots but that’s expected this time of year. Bunkers we in good shape considering the heavy rain that night. All in all a great day at the Ranch. Thanks to all staff for a wonderful day.

Beautiful Golf Course

It was hot 102 degree day. So green fees were very reasonable. Golf course is in great shape. Greens are very well maintained. Staff is very friendly. Nice place to eat and great course to play on. What more can a golfer ask for.

Good play for $40

Played a month ago and it has definitely dried out since then, but barely noticed because the layout is super fun and the greens were rolling pretty nice. Always a steal for $40. The pace of play was very slow, delayed off the first tee and we’re staked up on every single tee box. Round was around 5 hours, which in this heat is way too long. Will still be back!

No punched greens

Seems other reviewers said they had punched greens and sand on them, not true, greens were in great shape rolled true but very slow..will play again.

Nice but slow….

We were out within the first hour of tee times. It took us four hours twenty minutes…. Way to slow. The bunker’s are garbage. Some greens look like they have a fungus and are really bouncy…. With all the issues it’s still not bad for $30. Anymore than that go somewhere else.

Greens had been punched and sanded for aeration, but were true and ball rolled well. Fairways green and in great shape.
