Always a treat in the offseason

Negatives: Like many Phoenix golf courses Raven is waaaaay over priced in winter. Bunkers are hit or miss and quite a few have no sand at all.

Positives: Just a wonderful Gary Panks layout that is a joy to play with beautiful trees, bushes, flowers and pampas grass. Most holes you would never know you are in a desert and during the summer months the many trees are a huge help when it gets to 110* or higher. Greens usually run medium pace and roll true. Quite a few holes offer options off the tee for better players and fairways are just wide enough for the high index player.

One of my favorite Phoenix courses and consider it a must play for $75 and under.

Love this course. Lush fairways and overall setting is great. The pace was a little slow almost 5 hrs but other than that fun to play. Very wide fairways so quite scoreable

Raven: An Excellent Afternoon

Played 18 at Raven, T boxes and fairways in excellent condition. Course was beautiful with great landscaping along fairways. Fairways were forgiving and and fast, if OB not to hard to find your ball. Greens well maintained and challenging with bunker placements and pin positions. Can't wait to co back and play this course again.

As good as the 500$+ courses at a fraction of the cost.

Honestly this course is kept in as good of shape as most of the premier courses in Arizona at a better value. The only thing I wish they did that most of the premier courses do is have someone set up arccos pin locations before the rounds start in the AM.

Played another great round at Raven. Little pricey, but kinda worth it. Grass was great. Greens were true. Bunkers could maybe use a little more sand in some, but nothing too bad. Staff was great. Never had a bad experience at the Raven.
