Great course!
They had little trouble with a couple of greens so there are two temporary greens but the rest of the course is in awesome shape, and they have made up for the inconvenience by pricing the course accordingly. You won’t find better value in the valley!
Decent Value?
Course conditions just OK ! Considering we are into May and the fact that there are two temporary greens I suggest the Foothills should be offering better rates at this time.
Great deal while I was in town.
Overall had a great time. I was a little disappointed to see such a nice course have such crappy rental options. I was in town for 24 options. I do a lot of short time traveling where I try to get a tee time in, and most other courses keep their rental options up to date and make sure you get the best bang out of your buck. Not this course. The rental bag should have everything you need to fix divots, balls, tees, brushes.
Wow what a fun day!
First time here and we loved it. Fairways were wide and very green. Two. Of the greens are temporary but ok and that is why the discount price. Really friendly staff and the food at the grill was excellent. I would recommend it to everyone.
Fantastic course. Went on a weekday around noon and had nobody in front or behind me. Staff was extremely friendly and were just fine with my girlfriend tagging along. They say the greens were not up to standards but that’s only on holes 12 & 13, otherwise I thought they were perfectly fine. Would recommend
Updates
Overall, the course was in good/great condition. The 1st 11 greens and holes were great. Then holes 12-14 were a bad stretch due to conditions. Greens on 11 and 12 were known to be temp greens, so not a big deal. Real greens were looking better than when I last played here. Hole 14, the fairway/rough was not looking good. Holes 15 thru 18 were back to being in great shape. I have to say that the sand bunkers were much better, although a bit low in some places, but overall they were nice. The value for course was great, compared to the rest of the East Valley options. For example, played Bear Creek the day before, and what a rip off for $120 round. Was paired with 3 women and the pace was good, except a few holes bc we were waiting on the group ahead. I would recommend this course, even knowing that a couple holes are being worked on.
Just curious when the 2 temp greens will be open holes 12 and 13 . Thx
When will the 2 temp greens on 12and 13 be open holes. Thx
GO
what a great course, quite difficult for a high handicapper such as myself, but easy to navigate well enough, BEWARE THE BUNKER! that's where the majority of my strokes were lost, they're deep and have a high lip to get out of, but it was still fun to try and get out. greens were perfect and played fairly fast and predictable. run don't walk to get on this course before they fix two of their greens. it will be a $150+ course here very soon.
Great Course
Once this course gets the Greens renovated on 12 & 13 you would be lucky to play this course for $75. Wonderful course knew what to expect going in and the staff was amazing. Stacey in the pro shop was the man
Foothills in the best shape in 20 years
I’ve been golfing this course for a long time and I can confidently say even with the two temporary greens. This is the best I’ve ever seen this course. The staff is extremely friendly the whole time you’re there and the temp greens just make 2 holes about 30 yards shorter
Wonderful experience.
This golf course is beautiful and fun to play. They are working on a couple of greens but that didn’t take away from the rest of golf course. I highly recommend playing at Foothills, it’s a great venue.
Another great round
I played with a good friend of mine, and we had an excellent outing.
Other than temporary greens everything in great shape
Definitely get out and play the foothills before they close for the summer to fix the two greens and even get it in better shape. There’s not a better value in the valley that I know of. Marshalls were amazing in helping us get ahead of a group at the turn that was in front of us that took just shy of 2.5 hours to play the front nine and we finished the back in 1:40. 4:10 minute round on a Saturday @ 12:00. Thanks Marshall’s and starter
Course condition is getting better
I played this course late last year. Since then, the course conditions have improved a lot especially on the front nine. The greens on the front nine were in good shape as were the fairways and most of the rough. The back nine is still a work in progress. Saying that, you can really see the improvements being made on the back nine and I ready to play the course again in the near future. Even with the acknowledged defects, this course is fun to play and a great value.
Great condition and well worth the money! Hopefully prices will still be reasonable whenever Troon opens it back up next fall??? Great today though!
Two temp greens = no big deal!
